Pros:Nice and bright at full output. Brightness control works great.Cons:Light is VERY blue and harsh on your eyes, even at lower brightness.I appreciate that it works, but I don't look forward to using the ThinkPad 770 it is installed in.I need to experiment with coloured diffusers at some point, it might make this thing redeemable.

Ordered this when the screen of my notebook computer started flickering to have at the ready when the fluorescent bulb finally expired. Now, the screen is back on after replacing the bulb & its inverter with the LED strip and it's buck voltage converter. I don't like that it looks "jerry-rigged" but I like that there is no more flickering and that the LED strip has a rated life that is much longer than the original fluorescent bulb plus there's the spare.

First one installed lasted 1 month before bulbs started dying next one 80% of bulbs died at 3 months. They sent a replacement but didn't have the extra 2 hours to dissemble my machine to return the old ones. So had to pay for the replacements. Going to try another supplier next time.

Works great. I just took a 14 inch LG screen out of a broken old HP laptop to convert into a small gaming TV. And the best thing is I don't have that 800-1500 volt CCFL inverter exposed in the open. But you really need to know what you are doing before modding an LCD panel. Educate yourself well, before attempting something like this.

After doing some research on internet and youtube, I was able to find the pins to cut on the original connector to solder to the 4 wires on this led light. It works fantastically. The my display is like a new led lcd screen despite being an old Vista OS computer from 2009.
