Kiddo's new fav
This is my kiddo's new favorite toy. It is well made and durable. I have to had to scrub it down a few times (kids) and the paints holds just fine. I love that it is in an action pose too.

Beautifully crafted.
I was born in the 80s, and we didn't have dinosaur toys that looked this good when I was a kid. The legs aren't articulated, but that's probably why this thing looks so great. The pose is very lifelike, and the details are incredible.I bought this for my nephew when he was 3, and he loved it. Now he's obsessed with Legos, but it still looks great sitting on his shelf, and it will continue to look great for years to come. It's a solid purchase as a toy and as a decorative piece. I highly recommend any models that Schleich makes - their attention to detail is impeccable.

Great Model of a Dilophosaurus
Perfect gift for a student who is crazy about dinosaurs. Well designed and built, sturdy, stands upright rather than tipping over.

Perfect Pachy!
Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old dinosaur loving grandson. After he learned from his dinosaur book that Pachycephalosauruses have bony heads that they use to butt things, he wanted one. Since getting it, he has been butting everything (grandpa, tables, rocks, other dinosaurs) with that dinosaur head and the pachy seems to be holding up. All of the Schleich figurines are very detailed and solidly made.

Good piece overall. Glad to see Schleich making lesser-known theropods.
The sculpture: Excellent sculpting work overall. Amazing detail, especially the head. I think they could have done a better job with the teeth though. The teeth in the upper jaw seem a bit thin This might be partly a result of the sculpt, partly a result of the paint job). The pose: It has a bit of a tripod pose with left arm touching the ground. This could be forgiven if Herrerasaurus was a facultative quadraped (meaning that it is primarily bipedal but occasionally walks on all four limbs). But research indicates that it's an obligate biped (meaning that it's obligated to walk on it's hind legs). I do like the fact that it's tail is in the air and that the tail wasn't used to create a tripod pose like the recent Schleich Dilophosaurus.Color scheme/paint job: Great paint job. I especially like the vertical pupils, making it more reptile-like. I like the red on the lower jaw, the palms of its hands, and the soles of its feet. I like the red highlights on the brow ridges. Not sure what to make of the red highlights down its back though.Good piece overall. I recommend it for your collection.
