Measuring the size including length and width is very important to give a reference. Moreover, the length should be enlarged to 0.5cm, and it may let your pet feel comfortable when wearing it. Q: Do they come off as the dogs walk ?

No. You just need to make sure you have the correct size and tighten them enough. Different shoes fit my dog’s feet differently so when I took him for a walk and all 4 fit well, I marked the soles “RF” for right front “LR” left rear etc. And if you think they’re tight enough, tighten them a bit more. It’s a learning curve but I just bought 10 different brands and Pawz brand rubber booties fit the best and these fit next best. For the price, these are great little shoes. And “Shoe Goo” easily keeps the soles together if your dog likes to kick the grass/concrete.

Q: I have a 4 pound chihuahua. Should I get the XS or XXS?

I wouldn't. They are just kind of awkward to be honest and mine is about 4 pounds too. They just slipped right off of her. I would not recommend them.

Q: I have a 1 pound chihuahuas her feet our the size of a dime would the xxxs fit her?

My Bichon isn't that small, but she wears the booties with no problem. The Velcro fasteners allow for overlap to provide a snug fit. I am pleased with the ones I purchased and my dog doesn't mind wearing them. I hope you will be happy with them, too.
