Mein Lieblingsduft seit Jahren!
Ich benutze Agua Brava schon über 30 Jahre. Und ich bin immer noch begeistert. Ein frischer und herber Duft. Kommt gut rüber und ist nicht aufdringlich. Riecht irgendwie nach Sonne, Strand und Urlaub :). Jedenfalls erinnerts mich daran. ;)

It could even become my favourite of the three
I generally wear Versace's classic fragrance or Puig's 'Quorum'; this is somewhat similar to each, but with a more citrus and moss smell than them (and with less of a leather scent). It could even become my favourite of the three: it really wakes me up in the mornings.

The best perfume for men.
I've been using this perfume since 1981. I've always used, even though I tried other very good, good brands, fashion brands, extremely expensive brands, but as this perfume "Agua Brava", no two. Always use and I'll look wherever it is that fills my expectations. I doubt anyone in this world has used a perfume so many years, true to her scent, her fixer, to his usual quality, like me. I sincerely recommend them to everyone.

Watered down and disgustingly reformulated
It's been several years since I've had to buy Agua Brava by Puig.I've worn it the most than any cologne (except Pino Silvestre) and bought it more than any other cologne. In fact years ago when a drugstore was closing down and how cheap this cologne was I bought up the remainder stock (which had a copyright year of 2002)...same box style you see here in the stock photo.Of course as my supply lowered throughout the years I sat out to buy a few more bottles. What I received is in a light brown wood-schemed box with a copyright date of 2012 which is no big deal...the packaging changed.A few cheapness factors was elimination of the Puig logo on the wooden cap and the bottle face itself like it used to be.It's stamped in the glass the content size on the base but it always used to be in gold lettering on bottle face too. After about a month of ownership the glue that attaches the machined metal screw top wore off.No problem if this happens that metal cap unscrews from the bottle comfortably and can be reattached to the wooden cap with Krazy Glue.Never had that happen before as Puig must have stepped down to a cheaper adhesive.Let's get to the critical part here, the scent...Agua Brava's Scent (Then and Now):In general this is a rustic pine scent that comes off as leafy, green, herbal, and citrus. It's has no soapy character like Quorum or Pino Silvestre just a rustic but natural outdoorsy scent. With the old stuff you smell pine, lemon, and a bay leaf note smelling the splash. This new bottle I'm getting pine and lemon but no bitter and earthy bay leaf.Splashing it on you know I consider it weak versus the old stuff.Agua Brava I'd rate as fair projection as you can smell it on you but it's no powerhouse. For it's price though no complaints if you can enjoy smelling it on yourself as a 6 hour cologne. But this stuff is obviously watered down and most of it's notes blossom out but it's once again...light.So light it's almost a skin scent so you end up splashing more on.I've never had two use two splash handful servings to get a fair level of enjoyment...pitiful.There is one more flaw through this reformulation I can only describe as 'a cooking herb note let off it's leash' from the blend now this you'll pick up on quickly. This note didn't come initially it was as I was using up a third of the bottle and it kicks in immediately when you splash this cologne. The note smells like an oregano rich bowl of chicken noodle soup zipping all around you for a minute or two then it's gone. This note replaced something from the original formula and I can't even call it disgusting because the pine and citrus isn't an aroma evident to my nose. But I can use my imagination and the thought of soup in a cologne and I'll never buy the current formula again. Conclusion:My advice is to check with other sellers to see which Agua Brava by Puig is being offered. It should have the Agua Brava logo in italicized letters (and fonts changed over the years) on the box and bottle and the wood scheme on the box should be a shade of red. You'll be able to tell what the new box looks like in the search list typing in Agua Brava splash and you'll notice the logo isn't italicized as another consumer clue.Somehow the old 2002 copyright year box comes up in the stock photo when you click on the product. The varying shades of red boxes are copyright years of 1986,1995,and 2002...that's the good stuff.I emailed Puig to see if despite the obvious cost cuts this was a counterfeit somehow...nope...it's their current change in the product.Well it just sucks and it pains me to rate this cologne so poorly because I've enjoyed it for a little over 25 years.I wouldn't buy the new formula again if someone tried to sell me the 11oz. bottle of Agua Brava for $5.00.
