Hakko 633-01 633 Soldering Iron Holder, White

I have the Hakko FX-888D soldering iron and love it. The iron holder it comes with, however, I am not such a big fan of. It carries the same yellow and blue color scheme that the box does and I find it somewhat ugly. Not only that, but the sponge is useless since it has a brass sponge (brass sponge prolongs the life of your tip and doesn't cool it down either) but the opening to the brass sponge holder is irritatingly small/narrow. I was somewhat worried if this would hold my FX-888D wand perfectly since I could not find any reviews from anyone who tried it, but my fears were unfounded. This item is everything I want in a holder: - Beautiful and stylish - Holds the FX-888D wand perfectly - Has a counter-push about 2" past the opening that keeps your wand perfectly aligned vertically, so I imagine it would hold just about any iron - Has a brass sponge holder with sufficient opening - Big/heavy enough to not slide around without taking up too much space It is a bit bigger than I anticipated, but not overly so. For anyone who is looking for a functional iron holder I highly recommend this one, and since it comes with the brass sponge and brass sponge holder it can't be beat. If you have an FX-888D I also highly recommend you check out the T18-BR02 tip. The tip is bent at about 30° which makes it extremely easy to get into tight spaces, and enables you to hold the end of the tip flush against the PCB while your hand is at a comfortable angle. I can't imagine using an iron without it now; spoiled me.

Bought this for my FR-301 since it only comes with a lame tip rest that is next to useless. This stand holds the desoldering gun up off the workbench in a much safer way and in the right position to easily pick it up and put it back. The brass tip cleaner is also my preferred method of cleaning tips to and this one is good. No thermal shock on your tips shortening their lifespan like you get with a wet sponge.

Extremely stable and I love the little brass holder it comes with. it has a slots for a ton of different tips. In another review I mentioned that it's worth it to spend a few extra bucks for hakko and that rings especially true with the stand. It doesn't matter how good your equipment is if things are tipping over. This is easy to use and rock solid. Highly recommended!

Purchased for my FR-301 Desolder gun, works great. I also have one for my Hakko soldering iron. Couldn't be happer with the quality.

Recently picked up a Hakko desoldering iron and seems like everyone's complaint was the stand. Chose to get this and could not be happier. Sometimes these aid with placement in your desk and a strong argument could be made this is more for tip care but also caring for your tools by giving everything a home is the why for me. I like the metal ball more than wet sponge since I feel like water cools tip down too much. Definitely very stable on a table. The stand is made from thick gauge metal it's by far the best stand I own. Gonna need to upgrade the iron stand now too. Very easy to holster hot gun and avoid getting burned or tripping over the cord damaging equipment.

This was purchased to hold my Hakko 808 de-soldering gun. PRO: This is a simple, cleanly designed holder and strongly constructed. The included 599B wire-sponge tip cleaner does an excellent job. CON: This is listed as an accessory for the 808 de-soldering gun. While it is more than heavy enough to not tip over when a regular soldering iron is in it, the thick power cord and additional weight at the back end of the de-soldering gun throws off the balance of the whole assembly. Mine hasn't taken a dive off the bench yet but you can feel that it wants to. Putting additional weight in the depression just behind the tip cleaner helps quite a bit. OVERALL: This is a good product for use with soldering irons. I would not recommend it for the de-soldering gun unless you add additional weight or affix it to the bench.

Holds my Hako FR301 perfectly. Sturdy and allows easy access to de-soldering gun. Frame is made of all metal construction. Quality stand!

Fab! The stand doesn’t get hot either because of the heat shield that sits above the iron..

Its a simple device, it holds your soldering iron I don't even own a Hakko soldering iron, but this still fits my Ryobi soldering iron well I like this holder, it does it's job

Standfest und hochwertig. Ein sehr willkommenes Upgrade zu meiner Lötstation. Es ist schön schwer, die Messingwolle ist meiner Meinung nach viel besser als ein Schwamm und die Spitzen vom pinecil passen in die Löcher
