Love this product! I have small/petite hands and found no issues with the weight or handling of it. Switching from curl to straighten is easy and yet is not “so easy” that it can be done without you intentionally doing it.When using the straightener feature, I had no issues with it closing snuggly and keeping my hair within it.It heats up quickly and cools down in the amount of time one would reasonably expect it to.

The quality of the product as a straightener and curling iron is fantastic. My hair is super thick and not easily managed, but this left me with bouncy curls that lasted all night. I love that it's quick to heat up and it has the plastic covering on the end of the barrel for holding with your other hand. The only thing about this iron that I actually really hate is that the buttons on the handle are raised so that when you're using it, you are constantly changing the temperature. And when I say constantly, I'd say every section of hair I curled, I accidentally hit the buttons and had to reset to the temperature I wanted. It is super frustrating, and if I wasn't so pleased with the outcome, I'd probably return it based on this one flaw.EDIT: I ended up returning this. It was just so frustrating to use. Also, the flat base is not wide enough to keep the iron from tipping over so I had to be really cognizant of where I left it and if it was upright or not. Lastly, it doesn't hold hair for straightening all that firmly so if I didn't really clamp it down, it didn't straight my hair that well. All in all I just couldn't imagine using it on a regular basis when there are so many other quality products out there.

If you're like me and worried that such a reasonable price means the quality must be bad—let me tell you that's not the case here. I am very happy with this purchase. I was overseas and used a friend's curling iron/straightener combo and thought what a miracle invention to have these 2-in-1! I got home and couldn't find a similar product anywhere. But this is it, exactly what I was looking for.First time I used it, I hit the power button and nothing happened...I thought I got a lemon and would have to send it back but then I realized you have to press and HOLD the power button to turn both on and off. This is a very good thing because with the buttons on the handle you will likely push the buttons while you use it, so this ensures you don't turn it off while you're curling your hair.The temperature gets very hot, 450, fast. It gives nice big wave/curls, which is what I wanted. The inside straightener plates get hot, as well. There is a button to switch between curl and straighten, but I haven't used it, there hasn't been a need to. Both outside (curl) and inside (straighten) heat up at the same time so I can go back and forth between the 2 functions without changing any settings.The grip of the straightening plates isn't that tight, I have thick hair so it works fine. You can squeeze the ends together with the black finger grips on the end to press it tighter.I also like the matte black look of this one, if that matters to you like it does to me.

Love this tool, clicking multiple times on temp adjusting buttons locks the temp in to where you have it set so that it doesn't matter if you keep pressing them while using it. Took mine on a European vacation and it worked great but when I got home and used it the plastic end just snapped off and had wires coming out of the bottom where the cord was previously connected. Amazon refunded me bc I purchased it less than a year prior to it breaking so that was cool. I plan to buy a second one bc it is a nice handy tool to have, even if it is a bit cheaply made, there's really no guarantee spending more money would of equated to a better product anyways! All the other combo tools available are about the same quality, regardless of price, so I will purchase again and hope it lasts a bit longer but for $30 it's hard to be mad even if it doesn't last too long.

My hair keeps getting caught in between plastic. Temperature buttons gets pressed while in use because that’s where your hands go to curl or straighten. It gets hots really fast (less than 30seconds) & I do like the easy to use concept. I’m still trying different ways on how to curl my hair so it doesn’t get caught. No problems with straightener part. Not sure if I will return it yet.UpdateAfter my first review, I’ve limited my use of this product. It continued to catch & pull my hair out. It completely just stopped working. No lights, no heat eve tried to plug in different spots to make sure it’s not my wall plug. I should have returned it the first time. Now it’s out of my window to return.

I purchased this iron for travel purposes...it's not travel-sized, but the 2-in-1 feature means I only have to pack one iron instead of two. It's also dual-voltage which means I can use it internationally with only a plug adapter instead of a full converter. I like it so much that it's become my full-time hair tool, even when I'm at home. I love that I can straighten my hair then add a little curl to the ends without having to heat up a separate iron!Both the curling and straightening functions of the iron work perfectly. In my perfect world the curling iron would be a small diameter for slightly tighter curls, but I really can't complain! The straightener works well without snagging strands of my hair, and leaves my ends smooth and not fried. It heats up quickly and the temperature is easy to read and adjust.My only issue is that the temperature control/on-off button is placed right where my hand goes while straightening my hair, so on occasion I accidentally hit the button...but this can be easily fixed by rotating the iron so my hand grips the other side, or just hitting the temperature button again to change it back to the desired setting.All-in-all, I highly recommend this product!

This is my second time buying this iron. I travel ALOT and I can’t seem to find a better product than this one. Only purchase this if you are travelling light(carry on luggage only and you don’t have room for both a straightener and curling iron) and going to countries with different voltages(no problems using this in low and high voltage countries). It’s not as good as my curling iron and straightener that I use at home but it’s certainly good enough for travel. I have thick hair and I like that the barrel is slightly bigger than other irons I have bought so you don’t end up with tiny ringlets. The buttons ARE in a place where you can accidentally turn it off/on but I’ve learned how to place my thumb to avoid this. In the photos you can see where I keep my thumb if I’m using the curling or straightening iron and you won’t turn it on. I included a photo of my “curled “ hair. Again-not as good as when I’m at home but good enough for travel

bought it as a present ... when turned it on for the first time it smelled like burning plastic.... the person never got to use it even once cuz it never turned on for the second time..... and now cant even get my money back.... very annoyed and disappointed .... for such an expensive item that didn't even work once.....

Very good curling iron

Item arrived on time and as described. Good for travelling as it is a two in one straightener and curling iron, but didn't give it 5 stars as the bar on handle is not thick enough so you need to place it on a towel when you are using it so it does not damage the counter. But it is better as a curling iron then straightener.

Not as awesome as I had hoped, The buttons on the handle get in the way when I am trying to do my hair, and I usually end up screwing up the heat setting to and even hotter temp than what I set it for originally. Otherwise the straightener part is ok, curling iron part only so-so
