These gloves are AMAZING!
I bought these gloves because I got tired of being scratched and poked when I trim my rose bushes. The price was reasonable so I thought I'd give them a try. They arrived a few days ago and I decided to give them a real test on some blackberry vines that were taking over a large flowering bush I have. Some of the vines were over 12 feet long with huge thorns. I was able to just grab ahold and pull. The gloves prevented me from getting stuck or scratched. I LOVE THEM. if I could give a higher score I would.

I'm glad I did as it fits like a glove
I usually get medium sized gloves but got a small size in these because in the pictures they looked large. I'm glad I did as it fits like a glove.. haha. I mainly use these as gardening work gloves rather than rose-pruning gloves. I wanted to keep my wrists and forearms clean from dirt whenever I handle soil and repotting plants. My initial impressions of these gloves are great. The leather is soft and pliable. The large cuffs let air circulation for my sweaty hands. I did handle the spines of dragonfruit a couple times without issue.Update 2 years later: I've gone through 2 sets of these gloves. The hand portion does not last super long, 6-12 months depending on your degree of use. Holes typically start at the fingertips. The cuffs are durable as heck. But I still like them so much...the feel, non-break-in period, flexibility, and protection. I am keeping my high rating because I keep reaching for these gloves.

Good Protection Against Pricks
I bought the size small. I usually wear a size 7 glove and these are quite large on me. I can still work in them, but the fingers are a little bulky. The gauntlets are a heavier leather than the hand portion and that gives extra protection from thorns and other prickly things. The seams inside the hands are in reasonably well-placed locations so as to not be too annoying.I appreciated that these did not come with the strong smell that so many leather products have. It was a pleasant relief.

Large fits my large women hands, long fingers
Hand part soft, comfortable, flexible. Yea!Extended sleeve lenght not yea. Stiff, rough, abraisive, couldn't even bend down cuff so they would'nt rub. Wore them 10 min., then changed back to my old, ratty pair. Very uncomfortable.Very disappointed. Will see about returning them.Update: a few days since contacting seller. No response yet. Will attempt to return them. Really wanted to like them...

Great thickness for my needs!!
I like that they are all leather and a different color than most gloves of this type.Actually purchased these gloves to be able to handle a feisty cat. These gloves are long enough and thick enough for me to be able to handle a cat that does not like to be restrained. These gloves are soft pliable leather on the hands, and thick leather up the arms that are sufficient for my protection from the cat claws/teeth. These gloves may not suit everyone that would consider this use but they work for me, being an experienced domestic cat handler. (I use this pair exclusively for the cats.)As for gardening use, these gloves are perfect for outdoor pruning purposes! They stand up well to rose thorns too!! I am also a volunteer landscape maintenance worker for a 50 acre property with 100+ rose bushes. I find they are better quality than other similar gloves I have previously purchased and will purchase these again, when needed!!

They're good, depending on what you're doing
I give it 4 stars because they have extra small and they fit my hands. Also because I like the length and when planting, it prevented dirt from getting into the gloves. If you are pruning roses and otherwise puttering around a garden, these are fantastic. They are really nice gloves. But I typed in that I was looking for heavy-duty gloves and ones that were waterproof and these ones showed up near the top of the list. If you are actually planting, like digging holes, removing plants from pots and placing them in the ground, the hand on the glove is too soft/weak. I used them solidly for a month and have a hole in one finger and they are positively not waterproof. In my opinion, having seams at the top of the fingers is a poor design. If you have to scrape a bit more dirt out of a hole, you're using the tips of the gloves and it works open the stitching and then you're getting dirt into the glove from the fingertips. So if you're planting and digging, these aren't the best gloves for the job.

Yellow gloves stain hands and nails
While these gloves are very durable, it caused damage to my hands and nails. I bought the yellow pair and used them for the first time to prune Aechmea bromeliads over a period of several hours. The yellow dye of the gloves stained my hands and nails to a bright yellow and retained significant moisture inside the glove turning my hands a pale ghastly white. I had to scrub with warm water and dish soap to remove the stain. However, yellow tint can still be seen on my nails. I had high hopes for these gloves but Iām truly disappointed. I fear wearing these gloves again and would not recommend to future buyers.

Really nice gloves
Well made real leather. Comfortable and tough. Wonderful for pruning roses or any thorny or caustic bushes. I'm really sensitive to some evergreen bushes and appreciate that these protect my forearms well yet still easy to grab and feel tools and such.

Great protection
These long gauntlets are exactly what I was looking for. They are well made and, coming up to the elbow, do protect against thorn scratches from rose pruning etc.Following other reviews I did order a size less than my normal glove size and found that in doing that the fit was perfect - usual size would have been too big.Can recommend these.

Great protection
These gloves are slightly on the big side of the sizing. I bought a small size and they are a wee bit big (possibly a gents small hand ?) - not terrible but worth noting. They are comfortable, soft and lovely to wear and the long cuff comes up to my elbow - which is exactly the protection I wanted. I have used them for spring pruning some shrubs and it saves me getting the usual itchy arms from them. They will be great when I tackle the roses.

Quite amazing really
Bought this on hope that it would be good. When I opened it, I thought uh oh as the glove feels quiet thin. The arms of the glove are thick. I needed not have worried though. I can pick up stems with thorns now without any worry.Would so recommend these of like me you need garden and pickup thorny things

Ideal for cutting prickly hedges!
These gloves are a godsend if you have roses or a prickly hedge to prune, protecting both hands and forearms from the worst of thorns! Comfortable to wear, the gloves are supple enough for you to use secateurs or pruners with ease. We made, they should last for many years.

Great for re-potting a large cactus
I bought these to move a cactus into another better pot, they were excellent. Also great for any pyracantha, holly and raspberry pruning.
