Scheewe Art Workshop: Enjoy Watercolor & Acrylic

Upon receiving this book from Amazon it was difficult to put it down. The illustrations are wonderful and the pages to draw your own or watercolor from the illustrations are especially challenging for the novice watercolorist. There are so many ways to paint each scene or flower so yours looks different from the artist yet she gives you ideas and how to mix the colors. I am loving this little book and keep it on my drawing board for times I want to get into my paint box.  Scheewe Art Workshop: Enjoy Watercolor & Acrylic

This book is great for the Beginning to Intermediate Watercolor/Acrylic artist! It has wonderful examples and detailed instructions for completing the many paintings shown in the book. The patterns are all included, plus additional little sketches you can use for making greeting cards or gift tags if you desire.

Given a choice of many teachers out there who have appeared on video or TV, S. Scheewe is one of the better ones. She uses the same technique over various media and makes the instruction very easy to follow. Not big on flowers & fauna and much prefer landscape and so it's a give and take with her work.

This book provides patterns for tracing and pictures to use as your guide. If you're a beginner and looking for in depth instructions and/or techniques you don't get much in this book. I always enjoy Susan Scheewe books and would recommend to a friend.

This is just another book by Susan Scheewe that I am thoroughly enjoying. There's so much to learn and experience with my water colors.

Helpful book for beginning watercolorists. She shows different techniques such as painting the same painting on wet and dry paper so that you get a good idea of what the results will be like.
