I'm a vey big Cathy Cassidy fan, I especially enjoyed Angel Cake, Broken Heart Club and Sundae Girl. Often, a lot of people said that they didn't like the chocolate box girls series as much. But i LOVED this book!!!!!!! Its about a girl called Skye who has an identical twin called Summer. When they were little, Skye and Sumner were very close, but lately they seem to be seem to be drifting apart. Their parents run B&B annd also a chocolate making busyness. Skye often feels like she is forgotten, in the shadow of Summer. And with friend trouble, her sister Honey leaving a trail of destruction in her wake, and not to mention (non existent) boy trouble and a mystery to unravel, will Skye amd Summer drift apart completly?Read the book to find out what else happens!!!!! hope u are well and not suffering from COVID 19 :):):)

Not as good as the others, but stunning!
I chose 3 stars because first of all, there wasn't much adventure. And too much romance nonsense. Skye experiences a series of nightmares and dreams connected to her ancestor's love, a gypsy man named Finch. Too be honest, it was an overdose. Also, many other of my friends think there is another problem with the book. I am used to Skye and Summer together. Here, Skye is just stepping out of Summer's shadow. It makes Skye look like she's a wimp or something nasty. She is my favourite character and I do not appreciate Skye being an underdog a loser. The amazing bit though, is that Skye meets her love at the end and that the mystery somehow keeps coming back to her dreams.

AMAZING
I bought the first book in the series too and this book is so addicting you cant stop reading it!!! It starts on Halloween and is based on a spooky family folk story, so it can send a chill down your spine with a touch of mystery and magic. It has the normal stuff in girl books too, like you would find in any CC book. Its carrying on from Cherrys story, so if you dont have that it doesnt actually matter because it explains it anyway. Its about a girl called Skye and she is really curious about a ghost story about her family and even though everyone lets her know its just a story she has a strong feeling its true and has dreams about this and she feels herself mould into the story, which her twin sister Summer doesnt like. The conclusion is the perfect way to end such a perfect book, answers to questions forming in your mind the whole way through and questions which are formed by the answers. Confused? Have a read and you'll know exactly what im talking about ;)

AN AWESOME BOOK
I really thought that Cathy's first book in The Chocolate Box Girls, Cherry Crush, was really good. It was easily one of the best books I have ever read, next to her other books, Scarlett, Indigo Blue, Sundae Girl, Lucky Star and Dizzy, but this second book has been easily the best book I've read. It kept me hooked and I -quite literally- couldn't put the book down. SPOILER ALERT: The storyline is basically this-Skye feels like she's living in her twin sister, Summers shadow. Her best friend seems to be straying away from her, towards summer. A boy who everybody says likes Skye just turns out to just be trying to get tips to ask Summer out. Then she hears about an old ghost story. They soon find the supposed ghost old things. Being a lover of vintage, Skye soon starts using Car a, the ghosts things and being haunted by her. She soon finds out about the truth behind the ghost story and starts to understand the reason for Car as doings. But in the end, she learns she is related to Car a and her secret lover through a gypsy newsagent, who reads Skyes Palm to reveal all. Skye learns that. There is more to life than lies and grows closer to her sister. She starts to realise that the boy she loves impossible to have. A heart warming story of love, loss and and friendship. I totally recommend this awesome book to anybody looking to buy a bargainous nook of such high standard. Well done Cathy!

good book
I purchased this book back in November 2017. I am writing reviews now to help others, so i am writing a review on what I can remember. Overall this book was enjoyable. It is an easy read and interesting to read a teenagers point of view on life. You start to remember what teenage life was like when you read this and all the struggles you had, which you came out on top of. My mum has read some of these book and she is nearly 60. She enjoyed them. She was the one that told me that they are actually books for teenagers, but I was unaware of this and read the book, when i was coming to 29. I still enjoyed it. You should read this book it is not just for teenagers at all. Just because your older does not mean you have to read books that are intended for adults. It is nice to read something light-hearted.
