More is Better
I pushed these seeds gently into 6-pack pots with 2 inch cells about 2/3rds full of moist potting mix, fit 36 cells into standard 10 by 20 inch watering trays, covered them with clear plastic domes, and gave them 12 hours of full spectrum light from a 1 foot square LED light panel. They germinated in 4 days, at a rate of roughly 70 percent. They came up within a 12 hour period. The domes rested on the rims of the 6-packs instead of on the rims of the watering trays, but additionalwatering was not necessary throughout germination. Ambient room temperature was 68 degrees F, but the domes captured heat up to 78 degrees F (25.5 C).As seedlings, they appear happy and healthy uncovered in the same 68 degree temperature, but they are lavishing in an 18/6 hour light cycle under a 20 inch square 4K LED light panel.Infrequently, meaning every 10 days, plant food is being applied directly to the roots by adding a very weak solution to the bottom trays. Top misting appears unnecessary.By the time roots have fully established, in the same 2 inch cells, my region will be past last frost and these zinnia will be ready to move outdoors.Next time, I will buy more and double up on seeds in each cell, to ensure every cell has a seedling.20 Day Update: Both this deep red and another blue variety are coming up strong. Average size is roughly 3 by 3 inches.

Showy display
These zinnias were able to handle the heat. They grew slowly but they grew. I am pleased.

Love these big reds
Zinnias are one of the few plants that I grow from seed. They do not like to be transplanted so sewing them directly into the soil in early spring is the best way. If you cut flowers then they will just continue to bloom more; right up till the end of summer

not a single seed sprouted
I grow Zinnia's all the time and I am known to have a green thumb, but not a single seed grew. probably really old, dried up dead seeds....I would not waste a single penny on this
