Larger than expected
My husband wanted to try a new brand of measuring tape for work, but found this too large. It does not fit in a standard tool belt, which he was disappointed with. If you are wanting it for work in construction, keep that in mind; otherwise, if it is just for casual/at home use it might be more appealing.

Perfectly Functional for My No-Commercial Use`
I have long sought this tape measure but didn't realize it could be had for so little. This Lufkin 706D could not be better designed. It has a nice handle, and the crank for retrieving the tape after it's let out, folds away nicely and does not get in the way. Need to calibrate your stride accurately? Use this to create a 100' course to walk, and your stride measure will be more accurate than using a 10' course. Great for measuring distances around the yard like the length of a fence, the size of your shed, the size of your garden. I love it!

Slim fit case fits work belt.
I have a different 100 foot tape measure that has a roll-up handle that sticks out and won't fit into my surveyor's work belt. I have to hold it or carry it in another bag. This tape measure's slim fit slides into my large surveyor's work belt perfectly. It doesn't have the "stick-out" handle or any other knobs sticking out that would prevent it from sliding into a work belt. One reviewer says made in Mexico but has US or Canada near the handle. Perfect!

very valuable purchase
my son had no negative comments, not even a grunt. this is a very positive reaction!!!!! I guess you have to know him. anyhow, it will come in very useful. the granddaughers will have less occasions to stand and make notes of how many 25 foot measurements have been done. and it will be fairly easy to find since it is such a bright color, not green, blue, black, brown, etc.

for Appraiser use
I am an appraiser. Used to order these out of a catalog from a company in Minnesota (many moons ago) and shipping took forever. These tapes were delivered via Amazon in a day! The "feet" numbers are printed in red (tenths are in black) and the color of the printed numbers is darker (better) than the last ones I purchased from catalog (was disappointed in those).
