SET Enterprises The Family Game of Visual Perception

I recently purchased SET after months and months of it being recommended to me on Amazon not really positive if I'd like it or not. While waiting for it to come in the mail I downloaded the SetGame app and started playing solo matches and I was pleasantly surprised how relaxing and fun it was trying to spot different sets. Some are so obvious and easy to see, while others are more hidden and require a little more thinking to spot them. I was very slow at first with my average time being about 30 minutes to go through the deck, but then my time improved to 20 minutes, finally my current record is 14 minutes but I know I can beat that with more practice. Playing the game with other people is even more fun. Because I had already had days worth of practice on the app, I had to give my family members some advantages to give them a chance against me - whenever I saw a set I would let them know and give them an extra 30 seconds or so to try and find it. Once they become better I will no longer do this. I was also thinking about allowing them to form a team against me and see if they could beat me 3 VS 1. I love this game and wish I had bought it a lot sooner. It's also great exercise for the brain as it requires the players to use both the right and left sides of the brain. Becomes even more fun and addicting the better you become at it, and you will greatly improve with practice, you will notice yourself playing better after every game it seems.

This card game has been a family and friends favorite for years. I have ordered several decks over the years to give away as gifts, and as prizes in school. My career was as a college math professor, and I used these to demonstrate math concepts in class and Math Club. I also used them to play a fun game with 5 year olds. Often the 5 year olds can beat the adults! It's a game with simple concepts of pattern recognition, understanding "like" and "different", and other traits like shape, number and color. I especially like that it is not necessary to stick around through a whole game to have fun - you can jump in on any round. This too is great for kids. I highly recommend for anyone.
