too late for me to return when I finally had the time to test it out. it is too soft and once you lie on it, you sink in so much that is causing backpain for me unfortunately. Did not work for me :-(

Our king mattress is only about 18 months old. My wife & I intentionally purchased a firm mattress because I previously had back problems with a too-soft mattress. No back problems with the new mattress, but my aging (66 years) body otherwise did not appreciate such a firm mattress. I started to experience joint and especially hip pain by the time I awoke every morning. We initially tried a Goose Down Mattress Topper which started out promising. My aches were largely gone, but my wife did not like "sinking" into the topper. More seriously, after a year, that topper no longer provided the cushioning for which we purchased it.After CONSIDERABLE research on Amazon (and elsewhere), I finally decided to try the Milliard 2in Egg Crate topper. Frankly, I was somewhat skeptical whether the egg crate design would be comfortable to sleep on. But none of the reviews complained of sleeping on a "bed of nails" (or similar), and the price was good compared to competitive products.As noted in other reviews, this topper is super compressed. I unrolled it on a spare bed and let it expand for a full 2 days. I am happy to report that I did NOT detect any bad odors, and I have a pretty sensitive nose. My wife and I then laid it on top of our king mattress and gently adjusted it so it reaches all the edges. Note that this topper just lays on the mattress unlike other designs (e.g., goose down filled) which usually work more like fitted sheets. We then made the bed as usual (fitted & flat sheets, blankets), so the topper was under the fitted sheet.The comfort is pretty amazing! My joint aches were gone the first night. I could feel the egg crate under me but it was not annoying and did not affect my sleep. (My wife could feel it more but still had no trouble sleeping.) I do have a complaint (more of an observation): The foam/gel is a bit "sticky" in the sense the fitted sheet does not just slide over it. You need to be a bit careful when putting on a sheet so the topper is not stretched or torn. Also, as other reviews have noted, I was noticeably warmer sleeping on this topper v. the goose down topper. Not a problem in cooler weather but might be when it's warmer.Whether this topper will continue to retain its soft support over the long term remains to be seen. Recall that the goose down topper was initially great but went downhill. (That seems to be a common problem with many toppers.) Still, even if I need to replace it every couple of years it is not that expensive and will still be a good fix until we eventually replace our mattress with (most likely) something a little softer.

Finally, the mattress topper I've been looking for!I have a Zinus foam mattresses that has begun to leave me with sore hips and shoulders because it’s like sleeping on a slab of stone. I typically like firm mattresses but this one doesn't give enough under my weight. Hence the search for a topper.I tried the Zinus 3" egg crate cooling memory foam. It was too soft and I sunk in. But it was nice and cool. Woke up with a sore lower back.Then I tried a 2" solid/flat Zinus cooling memory foam topper. It was so soft that it had zero support. Didn't even feel like memory foam. Plus it was really hot.I found this Milliard one and realized it was the same maker as my little dogs' memory foam beds, which are of fabulous quality.I'm so happy! This topper is real memory foam, so it is dense and has great support. It's soft enough that I sink in where I need (side sleeper - hips & shoulders) and am supported where I need.The egg crate shape feels good and helps with air flow. Plus the gel foam topper has little holes throughout, which makes a huge difference with cooling. I felt no increase in heat from this topper, unlike much memory foam.It did have a strong smell upon opening but it wasn't like rotten garbage that others reported. I aired it out in a room with open windows and a ceiling fan for a couple hours and the smell was gone. It also grew to its full size within about an hour. I slept on it several hours after it arrived and noticed no smell.This is exactly what I've been looking for. It has made my bed so much more comfortable and I'm sleeping so much better.Thank you Milliard for making my bed as comfortable as my dogs' beds!

Fellow topper shoppers! Read this! I have been struggling for several years to find the right mattress. Old age and soar joints have hit along with my aching lower back that needs support. I finally purchased a firm mattress (the memory foam mattresses that I had purchased felt great on my joints but my rear end sinks into them and adds to my back ache). I searched for the right topper, reading tons of reviews while using a $30,00 foam topper that I bought at Target (it has a swirl design- not egg crate). I finally decided to try this one. It is a bit hot but great on the joints. Smell is not too bad. I decided to turn it upside down (egg crate design on bottom) and add the $30.00 Target foam topper (also upside down for optimal support) as the top layer. This is killer soft for my joints (I weight 150 lbs.). Of course, my bottom (female and heavy) again sinks down in, causing a low back ache on top of my normal low back ache. So, I folded a firm blanket and put it under my bottom and another one up my spine to keep my entire body supported. I put them under both toppers and wala!!! (I probably spelled wala wrong). My back and spine are supported, my old joints are soft and the heat from the memory foam is buried under the other topper! I am a genius!!! Well, it took me 5 years to figure out this trick so maybe not a full blown genius but I am awful proud to have found a comfortable sleep that is firm yet soft. I realized how many people were struggling with this same issue while reading the reviews on Amazon. I have a super picky body and modify most items that touch it. This one took some creativity and I wanted to share this with you as it seems many of us need firm but soft and is almost impossible to find. Good Luck fellow topper shoppers!!!!

Sinceramente no e notado gran diferencia con y sin la colchoneta es bastante ligera la diferencia como para decir q vale la pena sera cosa de probarla un poco mas
