Miller Beach

I grew up in Miller. We arrived in 1952 when I was about to enter the 4th grade. Many of the names mentioned in the book are quite familiar. Even though the time-line ends about 1930, many of the families were still represented in the 1950's. The photos took me back in time to places I knew as a young boy. My mother-in-law, who just turned 94, was born in Miller in 1918. She enjoyed the book more than I. I am retired, living in Florida, and the name on my boat is "Miller Beach"Thanks for the memories.

Was a birthday gift for my brother, we grew up in Miller Beach. He loved it!

Miller Beach, bought on Amazon, a great history of the early days of Miller and consequently Gary IN. Amazing how the early settlers lived primitively and enjoyed it. But then, just to be on the sandy beaches of the area was and is wonderful.
