18” Push Sweet Gum Ball Harvester – Also Picks up English Walnuts, Chestnuts & Macadamia Nuts – Nut Picker Upper

I bought this to pick up gumballs and it really works well. I have 3 sweet gums on my front lawn that drop hundreds of gimbals every time it’s windy. Raking sort of works but it’s slow and quite hard work with a 1300 sq ft lawn. My blower doesn’t move them. This machine makes it fun (almost). Some gumballs fall in the street and get flattened by passing cars and it picked up those pretty well too.It’s not cheap but it is well made. It was very easy to assemble - just attaching the handle. It’s light and east to push.It also picks up small sticks and leaves at the same time. This might not be good if you are collecting nuts but in makes my front lawn alot neater.

Amazing, well made US product that works. Worth the investment in time savings alone. Sparing my dog’s paws from pain of the spiky sweet gum balls and my back from hours of raking.

This is an amazing product. It's a little expensive, but once you try it, you realize it's worth every penny. I held off buying this due to the price and now i wish i bought this years ago. Works exactly as it states, picks up almost all gum balls(unless the gum ball is stepped on and stuck in the dirt) and even small sticks. No more raking through grass, bending over to pick up all the gum balls, never getting all of them bc you missed the ones you didn't see. Just use this like a lawn mower, and watch in amazement as your yard is cleared up. I know it's a little pricey, but you will never regret getting this.

If I could give this a 10 I would. I almost didn’t buy it because of the price tag but my yard is full of those spiky balls from the sweet Gumtree and I didn’t want to cut the tree down so I figured I would give this a shot. This thing is absolutely incredible. I can’t say enough amazing things about it. Plus it picks up other random shrubbery in the yard. Its amazing!

Picks up most of the gum balls but requires a few passes. Definitely a game changer! I would leave a 5 star review but this thing is so darn expensive. For the price, it should bag the debris for you.

Spending $500.00 on this tool was the LAST thing I wanted to do. But I swore after last year, I would NEVER rake another sweet gum ball again. It took me and my son about 5 hours to rake my lawn last year and rid it of all those damn balls. I was exhausted and was sore for days. This year, based on the positive reviews, I caved in and reluctantly bought this thing with no other obvious choice in sight.This thing actually works and works quite well. I had 2 large trash cans full of balls in about 30 minutes with minimal effort. The third trash can took some time because it is late in the year to be collecting these damn balls and many of them have already been partially pushed into the ground from being stepped on. This thing can't pick those balls up that have been stepped on but it will grab every loose ball after a time or two across it. So I found myself going over the yard over and over while dragging my feet to kick balls loose from being stuck in ground. Then the unit would pick them up on the next pass. My son used a metal rake to "free up" the balls as well that were stuck in the ground and then I would run over it with this and as expected it would pick them up. Still took us about 2.5 hours because of all the partially stuck in ground balls, but it was still much easier and faster than before. About half the time!It would have been an absolute piece of cake had I used this to pick up the balls BEFORE they got stepped on!I am anxiously watching for the next round of balls to drop off my tree, and when they do, I will have them picked up in no time with this thing! That is definitely the trick. Get them picked up after they fall and before they are stepped on and you will have ZERO issues with machine.I still think it is pricey as heck, but I would buy it again because I'm old, I'm tired, and I REFUSE to rake any more balls!

Just got this today. Shipping was quick and it arrived a day early. So far I love it. I recently moved into a home in nc and there are about 8 sweetgum trees on the property. I had the gumballs cleaned up before moving in about 3 weeks ago. Started seeing more and more sweetgum balls on the ground and was getting worried about our pets comfort and safety while running around barefoot in the yard (our dogs dont wear shoes). Looking at the size of the yard I decided that there's no way I'm gonna rake them all up and started looking for a tool for the job. Settled on the 18" bag a nut. It's a little pricey I'll admit. I put it together which was very straightforward and simple. I used it for about 10 minutes and filled the basket twice with gumballs. I thought it would work well and it certainly met and maybe even exceeded my expectations. 10 out of 10 recommend getting one if you have sweetgum trees.
