Cubix Coolers

Let’s start by saying I’m a huge Yeti fan for everything we do. I had a recent failure of my cooler on my SXS and was searching for another yeti to fit the back of my SXS when I stubbles upon these Cubix coolers and was kinda intrigued and wanted to see how they preformed. So I purchased a cubix and waited for it’s delivery. It arrives well packaged and wow was I impressed with the quality!!!! I checked it out fully and put it to a test right away with ice and some water and placed near garage door for several days to get some pretty good desert heat. Two days later moat once meted but water was ice cold, third day same result and fourth day same result. Two thumbs up! Now is getting tossed around and abused on the back of a SXS in the deserts and is doing incredible. Since then I have purchased another for the RV and travel. Highly recommend!!!!! This thing is well worth the money. I will purchase more of these Cubix Rotomold ice chests. Is very comparable to Yeti’s but at a fraction of the price!!

This is a very nice cooler. I looked at some other brands but I wanted a smaller 10 qt cooler and I could only find one other company that made a rotomolded cooler that small. Since this company is family business I went with it. Glad I did. The cooler is really nice and I love the look of it. The only down side so far is that the handle is a little hard to get down. It takes 2 hands but I am hoping it loosens up with time. I will do an update when I have a chance to us it more and see how it we'll keeps the ice.

Great cooler. I bought the 10 quart and I only have two minor complaints. First is with the handle. The most common issue people had with the handle was about how stiff it is to transition from carry position to cooler access position. This is not an issue for me. It is designed to stay up by default. The handle serves as its own spring so some stiffness is required. But my issue with the handle is that when transitioning from down position to carry position it is really easy to pinch your fingers. Doesn’t hurt but can be startlingly uncomfortable. The second issue is that the actual inside dimensions are smaller then what is listed. It is about 6 and 3/4 inches front to back and 10 and 3/4 inches left to right. In my opinion a true 7 inches by 11 inches would be perfect. This is important to those who like to lay the square ice packs on the top. I believe the dimensions listed on the product description are for the opening the lid recesses into when closed. But these are just trivial issues and I really do like and thus far would recommend purchasing this cooler.

I put in my Cubix 4 bottles of water that were already chilled, and a bag of ice. I left it in my kitchen overnight to see if it would hold ice 12 hours? The next morning the ice was melted, and the bottles were chilled, but not Ice Cold like my big igloo playmate would have had them. The drain plug was unscrewed letting air in causing the cooler to not remain cold. After closing the cap tightly the cooler functioned productively!
