Hanes Sport Men's Performance Baseball Tee

I was looking for baseball style (a.k.a. raglan) tees to replace some that I had purchased from the Gap over a decad ago. When I found this shirt, I immediately ordered it in both the white/navy and blue/black colors, thinking "Hey, what an awesome deal!" I had just purchased and received a different Hanes baseball tee that I quite liked, but it was only available in one-color (grey, grey and grey.) Looking only at the pictures and the item's title/headline listing, I inaccurately assumed that they were the same thing. BIG MISTAKE.The first shirt I purchased was a cotton/poly blend. This shirt is 100% polyester... But it's not even a decently *nice* polyester... This is awful, stereotypical, oil-slick, John-Travolta's-Bee-Gee-dancing-leisure-suit polyester. It makes my skin crawl just recalling the sensation of touching it. Despite my unpleasant polyester-induced shock, I managed to try one of the pair on... Well, I *tried* to try it on. The problem with polyester is that it doesn't stretch. AT ALL. I have no idea why people classify it as a stretch fiber. I ordered a size Small, and I couldn't even get it over my head. (Granted, I have a big head, but I've never had trouble getting it through a collar before!)I really desperately wanted to be happy with such a bargain... (Come on... Two shirts! For less than $10!)I just couldn't.I have simple 3 rules that I strive to observe every day, as follows:1.) Be honest with myself and others in every aspect of daily life.2.) Treat other people with the dignity & respect that I would want to be treated with, and3.) Avoid personal physical contact with Polyester whenever possible.This was delivered by the UPS driver, and I pretty much immediately packed it back up and printed its return label just in time to send it right back out on the same day when my postman came. The only good use that I can think of for these shirts would be if someone had to outfit a whole youth baseball team or something, and had an extremely limited budget. These would probably work great for that... But not for an adult to wear as a normal t-shirt.

The material and fit are what I would expect from Hanes Sport products. In fact, the material might have been a little nicer than I expected. However, the stitching on both of the shirts I received was crooked and less than robust. Because the red thread has a strong contrast with the dark gray fabric, the poor work was also really obvious.I can understand the complaints about these shirts being undersized. I think the sizing is in line (unlike the stitching) with other Hanes Sport shirts, but, because the sleeves catch at the elbow, the shirts feel tighter than they would in more conventional sleeve lengths.

So I keep my house on the cooler side - which my dad hates when he visits hahaha. So instead of turning my thermostat up to a temperature that the rest of us would die living in (dramatic I know but we like it COLD all the time) I bought him these shirts to wear when he visits. We even leave them here in the guest bedroom dresser so we always know that they are here. He says they are so comfortable it barely feels like he is wearing a shirt - and he likes the 3/4 sleeves since he isn't really fond of wearing long sleeves. Perfect purchase for us and everyone in the house is comfortable and happy now.

I like these shirts for workouts. 3/4 length sleeves protect my arms from the sun while still allowing more ventilation than long sleeve shirts. The fabric is a shiny poly fabric that is not really attractive, but it is fine for working out. Raglan shoulders give me good freedom of motion. Sizing is a little slimmer than Hanes T-shirts since these are probably designed to be base layers under a uniform shirt, but I think they work fine as an only-layer if you get the right size.

This is a lightweight polyester shirt - very cool in warm weather. A good choice for a warm climate. I live in FL, so I will get a lot of use from the shirt. Looks good, too. I've only had these shirts for a month, but they have become my favorites.

Bought a few for summers in the shop. They are light and cool, just right for wood shop, and they look and feel amazing. Dont hesitate to buy.As always I spend my own hard earned money on the products I use and review.

If you buy this, order it at least two sizes bigger than your normal size. Also, the fabrics is cheap and snags easily.

So comfortable! Not like my old cotton ones which I like a lot.....better!
