Delicious and tender, not like machine made compressed block of hard packed confection. This candy actually does melt in your mouth, as tender, flavorful delicacy. Made with obvious skill and care, a taste to remember even as you finish. I have repurchased this several times. It brings back memories of my childhood, when my mother would drive all the way from Philadelphia to New York City to buy special spices and condiments for family gatherings. The home cooked food was always central to get togethers, and we would buy a tiny piece of locally handmade Halva .

Excellent product!!

It is a good halva. (I ordered vanilla one.) But I cannot call it delicious. I'm not exactly sure but something is off. Smell when you open? (camel-like); aftertaste of first bite? (little bitter). Regardless, I ate it all and now ordering dark chocolate with almond one to give it a try.

What an amazing taste

While the halva texture is good and not too greasy, there is a strange, off taste. Maybe due to an unusual ingredient in the list.

I wanted to know if I would like this or not, BUT... I absolutely love this! It's so decadent and a small piece really fixes my chocolate desire.And I love that it's locally made (for me anyway) and that it does NOT contain palm oil.You won't be disappointed.

Maybe I got a bad batch, but I've been eating other brands of halvah my whole life and this was just awful - a chemically, soapy, rancid aftertaste in the vanilla version. I couldn't eat it. Threw the rest away. (I apologize for the bad review!)
