The Makarov Pistol: China, Bulgaria & Khyber Pass Copies

Volume 2 is better than Volume 1
The Volume 2 is much better than volume 1 with the weak russian chapter. The author on bulgarian maks even adds here much infos on russian Maks that were missing in Volume 1. For a second edition I would wish they would investigating more on chinese maks available in Europe. Actual commercial imports are not covered, because importation in the US stopped. It just shows observations on the US market and the strong focus on US importers is not so much relevant for collectors in other countries.

Some Great Insights to this World Widely Used Pistol
Not for your average firearm collector as this is very focused. The information is presented very well and in an organized fashion. Great pictures as well as informative on a small niche of the Makarov pistol collector. This book is like it was printed on a high quality laser printer and then bound together. Modern day publishing I guess. I enjoyed the history and got a bit nostalgic looking at the Norinco material. Not everybody will want one but if you like Makarov pistols then you will enjoy it

The Ultimate Makarov Book Series
"The Makarov Pistol: China, Bulgaria, & Khyber Pass Copies" is a great addition to any firearm book collection and good read for anyone interested in Makarov pistols. Dr. Cameron White & Henry Brown do an excellent job in both books of giving the reader the ultimate Makarov experience and showing these legendary pistols in their full glory. If you enjoy this book, I also recommend checking out volume 1 of this two book series: "The Makarov Pistol: Soviet Union & East Germany". Cheers! -Mike V
