Works really well, just have to find the perfect mix. The first night I used this on my face I found it to be quite thick and I did use a lot as it was a bit sticky and didn't go on so smoothly, it did considerably absorb into my skin. It does smell like a cooking oil, not bad, just natural. The next day my skin was noticeably softer and the dry wrinkly under eye area was softer and plumper. I didn't have an easier time applying to my legs. I used very little on my hair and it was just too thick for me, so the second night, and each subsequent night I found if you put a bit of lotion in your palm, add a couple drops to that, mix it and apply and problem solved, goes on easy and you get the benefits of the castor oil. After washing my hair, towel dry I add a drop or 2 of oil in my hand to my leave in conditioner, worked great, had nice looking hydrated curls. The same for my legs, I used Cerave lotion and added oil at a greater ratio than for face and had softer skin. I like the results. I can adjust the ratio depending on level of dryness. I also apply a little oil to my eyelashes at night. Update, I've been using this for 3 months and I think it's fantastic! I spent a week at the beach, where typically I can't find a lotion that works on my 50something skin after baking every day in the sand and sun. I've tried everything and always had terribly dry and raw skin with so much discomfort I didn't want to go to the beach daily, not this time! I brought a travel bottle of this castor oil with me (pack well, you don't want this open in your bag) I used sun lotion by day, and lots of this oil after showering, as much as I could get to absorb, surprisingly I didn't even use the entire travel bottle in a week as a little goes a long way. My skin felt good, comfortable and made my tan look better. Masage into your feet, tops and sides too they look so much better, no need for nail oil. I have also noticed I have not used any of my other skin creams, not the expensive department store brands, or the pricy drugstore purple bottle that was my favorite, this is excellent, it has so many uses from one inexpensive bottle. You don't need to buy roller ball applicators or eyelash brushes, use your finger, this is so simple and money saving. I wish it were in a glass bottle.

This stuff is amazing! I am 54 and starting to see the signs of being 54, on my face. I am not going to do botox or fillers, I want to do something natural. I follow this well known male dermatologist on youtube who is in his 60’s and literally looks at least 10 years younger than he is, and he uses castor oil and other natural oils as part of his skin care routine. He said to go ahead to cleanse and put your other skin care products on before bed, then put a small amount of castor oil in your hand (around a dime to nickel size), rub your hands together and apply to your face to help hydrate and rejuvenate skin. He also says it is good for hair growth and you can apply it to lashes with a spoolie before bed (take care not to get it in your eyes though) or on your brows if they are thinning. So I thought, what do I have to lose? I have oily skin so I was worried about breakouts but so far I have had no problems. This is thick, sticky oil so I recommend keeping your hair pulled back from your face and neck while you sleep and change your pillow case often if you are a side sleeper. I wash my face before bed, put on my skin care products and then apply the castor oil all over my face and neck. My hubby says I am shiny when I come to bed, I say “no, I’m glowing” <tosses hair over shoulder like a supermodel> 😃. In the morning, I wash it off with Ivory bar soap (clean and simple😊) to remove it and start my morning face routine and makeup. I don’t know if it will help with any of my deeper lines and wrinkles, if it does, I will add an update here, but I can tell you that I’ve noticed a difference in the way that my skin looks: the brightness and the texture so far. I also put it on my hands every day before I leave for work, not a huge amount, but enough to just rub in and it actually just soaks in and stays on my hands even though I wash my hands throughout the day. I’ve noticed a big difference in the way that the skin on the back of my hands looks.

So I am using this for hair growth. I'm a pretty sceptical person but I needed to try this. I would've never purchased this if I didn't need it. to be perfectly honest, I didn't think it would work. Nothing works anymore right? I chose this because it was the best deal I could find for the least amount. I didn't want to have a gallon of this stuff. Even with this bottle I will NEVOR be able to finish it. I've always liked my eyebrows thin. Not crazy thin, they looked acceptable to anyone, but after years and years of plucking they have noticeably diminished. As time went on and I've tried to regrow them, less and less grows back. I'm embarrassed all the time. I started using eyebrow gel and powder to give them volume which works well, but covering them will gel doesn't help the growing process at ALL. I'm scared of one day having to paint or draw them on. I've paid a lot of money looking for those regrowth systems made for eyebrows and I see absolutely no change. When I tried this I got a mascara tube with a gel brush instead of a spoolie. I filled the tube on my own and just take about a drop for each brow and spread it every where I want growth. Its very very important to not put too much on. You don't want to clog pores or drown your cuticles. I wipe the excess off my brows to the point there's just a small amount of shine but skin can breathe. I saw dramatic results in TWO days. I couldn't believe it! Of course it wasn't fully grown in and it was still patchy but there were a lot of hairs just beginning to grow. They were thick hairs too. Its truly amazing how well this works! Its so inexpensive and I have no question of whether this works. Sometimes I forget to put it on for a few days and growth slows way down. I'm so glad I'll finally get my eyebrows back. Its been a little over a month and I still have to powder them because of patches. But I have NO doubt they will come in. Before you spend 50$ on a 2ml tube of absolute crap, try this one. I know that different Castor oil work differently for specific purposes. But THIS one right here is IT for hair growth. Its not edible this one is meant for skin and beauty. You can't lose! I won't ever need another bottle again but if I did I would get this one again. My confidence is coming back fast. Now to find something like this for weight ;)

It's not just for use as a nutritional supplement! Most already know of the benefits of internal-use/food grade Castor Oil as a digestive aid in the promotion of regularity, but, used topically, Castor Oil works wonders! And as far as preference goes, most people recommend either the Home Health or Now Solutions Castor Oil (and I have used both brands faithfully), but for those with aging skin issues or highly volatile/sensitive (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, etc.) type skin concerns Now Solutions is less likely to trigger inflammation or reaction than other formularies. Castor Oil has natural antioxidant properties, and absorbed into the skin it helps to naturally minimize and prevent wrinkles as well as stretch-marks, and it even conditions hair when added in small amounts to shampoo or deep conditioner treatment! Great Castor Oil Tips: 1. Add about 1/2-tsp of Sublimed yellow Sulfur powder to 4-ounces of food grade Golden Castor Oil in a small 4-4.5ounce size nozzle/tint/applicator bottle for a superior growth aid (helps with mild to moderate forms of alopecia and general thinning). Look up Sulfur Yellow castor oil recipes on you tube to get ideas for customizing growth-oil blends. There are a lot of various recipes, but the main essential ratio is 1/2 - 3/4 tsp Sublimed Yellow Sulfur Powder to 4oz Oil base (the best blends use Golden Castor Oil, either on it's own or in a super blend of Castor +/plus Emu Oil -- but if you are sensitive to sulfur, you can use golden castor oil +/plus emu oil on its own). 2. For scalp dermatitis issues, spritz scalp with water and apply layer of aloe-vera, then apply light layer of castor oil to scalp, and cover hair with scarf overnight-- shampoo out next day with natural shampoo made from either natural-cosmetics' black soap or kirk's coco castile unscented soap (if hair is naturally finer/oilier, or simply leave in if hair is naturally med-highly textured/drier) as/if needed. 3. Also, a little added Castor Oil and natural vitamin E to a base of Coconut Oil or Jojoba Oil (ratios about: 1 part vitamin e oil, to 10 parts coconut oil and ½-part to 1 part castor oil) combine to make for a great all-natural body oil with full-on anti-aging and anti-stretch-mark properties! 4. Tips For Internal Use: smoothies/nutritional supplementation, only use castor oil that specifically says on-the-label for the occassional relief of constipation such as Walgreens Castor Oil, Sunmark Castor Oil (here on Amazon), or any pharmacy brand specifically marked for internal use--which is awesome also: Not only does Castor Oil aid with digestion, constipation and the occasional upset tummy, -- for those with dry or sensitive skin issues related to eczema, psoriasis, etc., a mere 1-tbsp of castor oil, taken once, every 2-3days (in smoothies or plain coconut water) assists the body in maintaining essential moisture balance levels/dew points from the inside out! ****Updated To Add: Some have noted that it would be simpler to use the larger Now Solutions or home Health castor Oil brands for internal use, however, they are labeled/prepared/formulated specifically for External-type-uses. Please Note Safety Concerns in Product Labeling: - Also, the labels on the Walgreens (pharm) and Sunmark brands however, do specifically indicate and/or state, internal-use instructions- " for the occasional relief of constipation" while the larger, Now Foods and Home Health brands either specifically indicate on the packaging for external use only /or advise against internal use. So while, it's true that Now Solutions and Home Health, etc. might all be 'food-grade', castor products, but -- the labeling implies otherwise. For consumer safety, I know the US labeling requirements (FDA) are very specific with intended use of 'some' things, so it could be that the bottles that don't specifically indicate use for relief of constipation taken in 1-2 spoonfuls may have additional processing techniques or preservatives/binders that the pharmacy-grade ones do not, so for safety's sake please don't use your castor or any other products off label.. It's strictly a household/consumer safety issue-- Note: If skin is very oily, use it to spot treat areas (under eye area, stretchmarks, dry patches, hands feet) overnight and rinse in the morning. If skin is very dry, then daily use,full-on for the entire face and body will leave your skin noticeably supple and smooth and o-so--soft! Apply full strength overnight to dry hands and feet (cover with cotton socks and cotton gloves). I bought this Castor Oil strictly for any hair and skin benefits. I do not have any scars, or stretch marks to test it on, but I can comment on any hair/scalp and skin benefits. My Hair condition: Dry, coarse textured, thick, and color treated hair, (frizzy hair in both humid and dry climates) about an inch longer than shoulder length, with a small patch of itchy dry psoriasis in the back of my head. Facial Condition: Dry skin, and since moving to the Southwest Desert, a very dry and acrid climate ...even drier skin. I have reached my sixties, so with age; my skin has become challenging dry. Hair Challenge My first test object was my hair and scalp. I decided not to brush my hair for the very first time ever, before shampooing. I mixed 1/8 tsp. of castor oil in with a handful of my regular shampoo and lathered up. I did not think that this could possibly be enough, but according to the other reviews that I had read, "a little tiny bit was supposed to go a long, long way." My hair lathered up nicely, and then I rinsed. I noticed four things immediately. 1) Lose fall-out hairs were minimal - even though I did not brush my hair out first. 2) That small patch of psoriasis was soothed - even though I did not use the medicated shampoo. 3) No mats or tangles - even though I skipped the conditioner. 4) My wet hair felt good, not slimy, not greasy, not oily, just a healthy hair feeling. I skipped my usual leave-in conditioner, and proceeded directly to the blow drier. Results: My hair dried a little faster than usual, and was incredibly soft, soft like a kitten or a puppy's fur. My hairstyle finish was not quite as smooth or defined as I prefer, it came out a little too fluffy, but with the addition of a few spritzes of argon oil, the results were perfect. Another bonus for me was that there were very few hairs left on my roll brush, only 4, or 5, which means that there was no hair breakage. I usually pull an awful lot more hair off my roll brush when I am finished with the blow dry. The final positive result was when I was out in the sunlight, my hair had a bit of a healthy, clean shine. This is unusual for my hair because a thick, course textured head of hair does not generally have that characteristic, only my hairdresser can perform this miracle. Facial Challenge: As I have mentioned earlier in this review, I have very dry skin. I applied a small amount of the castor oil on my face in the evening. It is thick, and it is greasy, but this is what my dry skin requires because within an hour or so, the castor oil was completely absorbed. I decided to lightly coat my face once more before bed. In the morning, my face was a little dry, not sandpaper dry, as I have experienced in the past, but not that soft suppleness that I was hoping to achieve. However, my skin texture and color was better and a little more even toned! In the other areas of my face that I have used this oil, I have seen some improvement. My eyebrows are a little thicker, my lashes are luscious, and where I have been applying the oil nightly around the front fringes of my temple, there seems to be some thickening in some areas. The little peach fuzz hairs around my hairline have not uniformly thickened in all areas, but I have not been using the oil for that long, and I have noticed that different areas respond at different time rates. However, whatever improvement that been achieved has completely satisfied what little expectations that I have had in this area. I hope that my review has helped those who share my dry skin, facial, and hair issues.

I've recently used a color remover on my hair, and bleached to platinum blonde from dark brown. (Thankfully I used Olaplex too during my processes, or I probably wouldn't have had any hair left by now). I got the idea to save myself some money, and do it all myself. Although I watch numerous YouTube videos on how to do it, and I also stayed in a Holiday Express 1 time, something tells me I should Not have done it myself as nothing has went right. The last of many issues that happen is that since my hair is so dry, and porous, my gray toner quickly over toned my hair, leaving it a lovely shade of Blue. So I've been working for days trying to get back to platinum color, and again causing even more drying out of my hair. So I decided to write my review in poem form to tell you what happened with my 1st experience using Now castor oil, and olive oil combined on my newly platinum blond/kind of still blue toned hair, and to also warn all you light headed folks out there of what could happen. So here goes: T'was the 1st night of Now castor oil mixed with olive oil too, and my hair was all dry from trying to remove all the blue. So many others combine those 2 oils to help hydrate their hair, but I had something happen tonight with that process, and want to make you all aware. My thought was if a little does good, then a lot will do great, so onto my hair the 2 oils I did cake. I just knew the oils were working their magic as they sat for several hours on my head. With my plastic little cap on, many articles, and reviews about this I read. Sitting there excited, thinking my hair will finally be as it should. It will be looking healthy, and shiny, and feeling ohhh soooo good. The very last article I read mentioned something new that I hadn't ever seen, it said to do a test strip 1st to make sure the olive oil doesn't turn your blond hair green. Once it was read, off to the bathroom I did race, shampoo flying everywhere, yelp, all over the place. I scrubbed my hair 1 time, 2 times, 3 times, 4. Trying to finally removed all my caked on oils. As my hair was finally rinsed, what should appear, but a nice bright green sheen in both the front, and the rear. I thought, ole good grief, as I started to cry, but then I realize how much the green brought out the color in my eyes. So, I think I've decided to just be rockin this green for awhile, with my newly reborn hair, and a great big smile. But I thought I'd write this review to warn you of the things above that I didn't know, If your hair is light in color the olive oil may need to go. But please keep this Now Castor Oil on hand, this stuff is great, and just a little dab of the 2 right oils will certainly do the trick, to make your hair look gorgeous, and not turn it greenly sick. So as I bid you all farewell, and head out of site my friend, I hope this review helps you out because it's been one heck of a night, again. I highly recommend this product. It made my hair so much more hydrated, and it looks so much better. It will work for you too, lol, regardless of the color of your hair :).

Thickness unmatched yet somehow not overwhelming and greasy, it absorbs pretty well both in my hair and skin. Now the bottle size for the price is absolutely worth it, surely is pure because it’s never irritated my hair or skin. Thank you NOW for quality and quantity.

I use Castro oil every day on my skin. It helps with lines and supposedly is very good for you. Good quality product.

Very soft and effective on hair and skin

Excellent product! Delivery was very fast--received my order in the mail only a few days after purchasing. I ordered this to use on my eyelashes and roots (to soften and promote hair growth). I've noticed that my eyelashes are growing stronger now, and they don't break up as easily as they did before. Also very pleased with how soft it made my hair! I mixed this castor oil with some coconut oil and applied the mixture to my hair before bed, and washed it off the next day. My hair became much softer and developed a beautiful shine. It does take a few shampoos to wash out the oily residue though.

It's such a boon for hair.Had used it 7 yrs back and then stopped after getting results.Again purchased it a couple of weeks ago. If you leave the oil on hair overnight(alternate nights) and wash off with a mild shampoo next day you could definitely see the change in 2 weeks. Try to follow a balanced diet too. Now Foods please never change the quality of this oil . One I would like to suggest is pack this wonderful product in an amber bottle that would preserve its nutrients. Edit: diluted it with a little bit of extra virgin coconut oil and olive oil.Also a herbal powder instead of a shampoo to rinse hair whenever necessary
