Our company is based in the USA. Design and packaging is done here in the USA, while the nail clippers are made in China to our standards. Hope that helps!

They aren't shiny chrome. They are a brushed nickel finish.

Q: I have trouble with clippers flying out of my hand. I have weak hands. Can I expect the same problem?

I have mild cerebral palsy so I wouldn't say that my grip is the greatest. I didn't experience a problem with the clippers flying out of my hand. These clippers are solidly made so I would say that unless your fingers aren't able to securely hold the clippers, you shouldn't have a problem. You don't need much force in my experience to use this product. And if you had an issue with them, I found the customer service to be excellent. I emailed Zizzili 3 times and each time received a reply within 24 hours. I like this set very much and am considering giving them as gifts to family and friends. I hope this answers your question or at least lessens your apprehension concerning these clippers.
