Easy to assemble. I wear size 11 shoes and I have the rack flush up against the wall. My shoes stick out just a tad bit. The top shelf was rubbing on the back wood. Remember there is a adjustable screw to fix this problem. This is the second unit I have bought. The only thing I do not like is the big screw heads can be seen from the side. I am trying to find marker so I can fill them in.

I read the reviews before purchasing, and bought this well aware that others commented that the material is “cheap” and assembly is a little “wonky”. I wanted a shoe rack in this teak color that would fit into my space so I purchased anyway. It’s a good thing I read the reviews and was aware the material was flimsy, you have to be extremely careful as you are assembling as it is very easy to break or split the wood, as you go. I’ve assembled IKEA furniture before that has taken me HOURS but this challenged me in the way that it is not clear on what order the B and C screws need to be put in...I’m handy so I eventually figured it out. But clearer directions would be helpful. All in all, it looks like a really nice piece when it’s finished but you can tell it’s on the cheaper end if you take a close look. Doesn’t really bother me as I just wanted something practical and stylish to get my kids shoes off the ground but if you’re looking for a higher end piece, this isn’t it.

Perfect size for the space just inside my door. Definitely helped with organizing the mess. Love the compartment on top. We use it to store dog leashes and collars.Only issue is the lid on top. It rubs on the cabinet as it’s opened and closed. At some point it will rub off the finish.

4 stars because what should’ve taken me 20 minutes, took me over an hour to figure out because one set of the screws looks different than the picture and there’s no description on how to fit the screws in, you’re only going off of pictures. On the other hand, it’s very cute and definitely fits our tiny apartment.

So far I love this shoe shelf! I absolutely love how the top opens up. It is a perfect place to store things like face masks. The only complaint I have so far is that the instructions consists of only images (no words). It took me about 2 hours to put it together. I skipped a shelf so that I can add boots to the shelf below and so far it does not seem to have affected the structural integrity of the shelf overall! With the one shelf skipped it holds about 12 pairs of shoes (3 pairs per shelf).

Y'all, the instructions were just pictures. NO written directions. It took us over an hour to realize how the screws (labeled B and C) were supposed to be used, how they relate to each other, and how to tighten them.With the type A screw, using a drill worked just fine. But with a type B screw the drill almost destroyed the notch we were supposed to insert at. Even once we got the hang of it, it was still exceeding difficult. It took 2 of us over 3 hours to build (most time was us asking "how in the world is this supposed work?") And we still ended up ditching the drawer at the top because of the difficulty of the screws. Still a lovely and sturdy shelf though.

As a shoe rack it is fine, nothing special. The lid broke immediately and isn't nearly strong enough to work.

This is a nice piece of furniture for the price. The assembly was a little tedious because you have a ton of little parts to insert into the little holes and some were extremely tight. Its in our mud room for shoes and mittens, hats, etc. I really like the top storage area. It lifts up so you're not tempted to throw things on top because then you can't get into it. I have 3 kids...we'll see how that works out.
