The outer surface of this item is beautiful but it's bones are not good. This item arrived damaged which is not what I'm complaining about. The damage enabled me to see the actual construction of this item it appears to be medium density fiberboard that is glued together. This is not some hand-crafted box put together by a master woodworker. This is a $15 USD for $20 CAD box in my opinion

Frankly, I wasn't expecting something so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!I thought this jewelry box would have "touches" of Mother-of pearl in the designs-well I was WRONG, the designs are 95% Mother -of- pearl (!) Even my Husband (a Military Officer) who doesn't get "worked -up" easily over "things" -I presented him with a gorgeous $600.00 dollar Movado watch ,to which he said "yeah, that's nice" (a RAVE from him)said (upon seeing this jewelry box come out of the packing ,beautifully packed by the way) " hey, that's really beautiful! , look how they even used different colors of abalone shell under the 2 cranes* ( whose necks are intertwined, symbolizing love-I looked it up) * to make a mosaic under the cranes" ! I looked at him and asked "what did you do with my Husband"? It just goes to show that even a man whose idea of beauty is a fresh set of camouflage and a pair of polished combat boots, recognizes beauty when he sees it. This jewelry box is exquisite!

Ich wollte diese kleine Schatulle, um darin das Hochzeits-Geldgeschenk für meine Nichte zu platzieren. Ich muss sagen, es ist genau, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte. Die Schatulle ist sehr gut verarbeitet, sauber und ordentlich. Sie wirkt sehr edel und mit dem Motiv lieg ich bei meiner Nicht bestimmt goldrichtig. Nach der Hochzeit kann sie sie sicher sehr gut als Schmuckkästchen verwenden.Versand aus Korea hat 15 Tage gedauert - schneller als angegeben. Verpackung hyperextrem-Polsterung. Paket ist zollfrei durch gerutscht. Sehr zufrieden.

This is a beautiful and well-made jewelry box. Originally, I thought it was an antique, but it is not. It is new. It doesn't matter, I am sure my wife will love it just the same, haha!The mother-of-pearl inlays are gorgeous! I picked this particular box because of the cranes, which symbolize long life.
