Works on '86 Mustang but mods required
The solenoid is fine, but the generic rods would not work on my '86 Mustang. The collar system used for the rod attachment binds with the mounting hardware in the door with the short rod. I ended up pulling the rod out of the original solenoid and installing it in the new one to make it work. It may work find in other installs, just my experience with Fox Mustang.

Work fine
Good price. Seem to be working good. Mine didn’t come with rivets but no big deal.

Weak Chinese junk
Just like the heading says - weak! It installed easy enough. I plugged it in and hit my lock/unlock, and the actuator was too weak to even move the knob up or down. I guess it's hit or miss with these things, as there are some positive reviews. Luckily for me, I found an old actuator that I forgot I had on the shelf; been sitting on the shelf for 20yrs (pulled from a junkyard car 20yrs ago), and after whacking it a couple of times, it 'woke up' and worked 100x better than this "new" one.

Worked on 79 Lincoln Continental
This was a direct replacement for the door actuator in my 79 Lincoln continental. All the power locks are working again. The power cord connection was directly compatible. One of the short adapters matched well with the original connection to the door lock. The biggest challenge we finding a rivet that replaced the original rivet.
