I like the thin edge frame to help hold tile in place if you are using the tile in drain side. If not, you have the option to flip it and use the metal finish side which also has a very modern look. It’s sturdier and catches hair. I honestly like these better than the tile in schluter kerdi drains because the schluter tile in drains have no edges and it’s hard to get the tile to stay in place.

This drain looks good, with the same tile on cover it nicely blends with the rest of the tiles on a floor.However, I had some problem with it. The soapy water flow is limited in the drain gap that leads to the pipe. As a result you stay in a soapy puddle when taking a shower. After shutting water, it slowly drains off.Bernkot support was really nice and sent me "normal" drain with holes for free. This one works fine.So, this product might work or might not work for you. I guess it depends on how much soap you use or maybe on the angle of your bathroom floor.
