Review from a professional
Most of the reviews to date appear to be from people who purchased this as a toy, with numerous complaints about how hard it is to finger due to its small size. None appear to actually be from professional musicians. I am a professional who plays numerous Irish whistles in the traditional style, and here's my take:The booklet that comes with this instrument is not helpful - it also treats the instrument as a toy, instructing users to tongue notes (a no-no in proper Celtic playing styles) and introducing such hits as "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".However, this is, in the proper hands, worthy of being used in a professional setting. Yes, if you have larger fingers or don't practice (as with any instrument), this can be a relatively difficult instrument to master. But it certainly does not deserve the status of a "toy". It is finely crafted, and the intonation (how correct the pitches are from the lowest to highest notes) is spot on, provided you learn/know the proper blowing technique. And properly played, it is not nearly as shrill as you might expect (although I wouldn't put this in the hands of a small child and let them 'have at it'). This wouldn't do justice as one's primary instrument; I think of it rather as a novelty that can add variety to one's repertoire when used to spice up a tune or two.If you're looking for a cheap instrument that's easy to play, I strongly recommend the standard "D" whistle - NOT this tiny "G" whistle. (If you have rather large fingers, you might consider a "C" whistle instead, which is slightly longer, and thus has holes spaced a bit further apart.)

Works fine, but holes are quite close
This is a fine-sounding whistle--very clear and precise--and it projects well. However, the holes are quite close together. I have fairly large hands, and I was not able to play it. Someone would have to have medium-sized hands at the most to be able to play. Other than this issue, the whistle is great in every regard, and I highly recommend it for a cheap but well-made G whistle.

A fun mini whistle for musicians on the go!
I previously purchased a D-key whistle from my local music store, but I wanted a second whistle that was smaller so I could take it on the go. This little G-key whistle is exactly what I was looking for! It measures about 9 inches from the tip of the mouthpiece to the end of the tube part, compared with 12 inches for my D-key. I'm still very new to whistles, but I would highly recommend this one.

Good--but high--sound
Good quality. Proper octave range. I like this one a little better than my key of D whistle made by the same company.

Several notes off pitch
I think my whistle has a turning problem. Within the first octave, the lowest notes play sharp and the upper notes are flat. Only two notes are in key. I confirmed with a tuning app. I'm learning a bit about Just Intonation and Equal Temperament, which might explain what's going on. But when I play is sounds off in my ears, which is what really matters. Only way to get correct pitch is to adjust how I blow for each note.
