Great book but missing a page
Love the book, but as I was reading page 228, the last two words “And you” at the bottom of the page; Then a new chapter The Non-Party Regime” begins on page 230!!!The publisher and author needs to be notified! A wonderful book. Dismayed how I lost a page in chapter 16.

An almost forgotten story that has to be read
Fascinating - history but could easily be the plot of a thriller.

Apologist Book, But an Interesting Subject
Written in slanted prose favoring the subject, this book none the less has some enlightening information for a fan of the history of Workd War II.

It fills a huge gap in European history.
For a period of my life I lived near the Madrid home of King Simeon II, the son of King Boris. King Simeon became quite well-known and popular in Madrid; a colleague of mine tought his youngest child and only daughter in a school which wasn't exclusive in terms of fees but excellent. The life of King Boris takes us back to a time and a place when and where being Sovereign meant more than opening Parliament and inaugurating public works. It seems to me that the King shown that it knew the job, had what it took to perform it and kept his country as safe as possible in an impossible situation. We need more statesmen like him. Fast.
