Worked well on RG59 and RG6
Practiced on an old piece of coax first, need to really be sure to work the cable in all the way. Crimper works well. It would have been nice if the box it kit came in was a bit sturdier, or a plastic case would be nice. Other than that, good product.

Good value
OK so this is an $18 coax crimping toolset that includes 20 coax tips. It allowed me, a 49-year-old man who had never before terminated any kind of cable, to put tips on like 6 coax cables and successfully connect my cable box through a somewhat complicated branched wiring system. The satisfaction I felt with teaching myself a new skill and making successful connections far outweighs the complaints that follow.OK so complaint #1 is that there is no single blade positioning setting that cuts off the outer jacket, braid, and interior wire. You can infinitely adjust the two blades so that you can strip the jacket off while also stripping down to the braid. But then you need to make many subsequent adjustments to get to the interior wire. They provide a tiny hex wrench that clips into the cutter tool to help you do this, but it was a ton of trial and error that left a ton of little braided wire cuttings all over the place. Cutting tool blades: 3/5Complaint #2 was that eventually the plastic clips that hold the little hex wrench to the cutting tool snapped and now the hex wrench is loose and I assume I will eventually lose it. This is not like a tool I use every day at my job, I spent two nights putting tips on 6 cables. Cutting tool hex wrench clip: 3/5I was going to write Complaint #3 about the compression tool because on multiple occasions I tried to press a tip onto a seemingly perfectly stripped cable end, but upon reflection, it just took awhile to know how much braid to fan out and how much (extra) interior wire to expose so that the compression tool could get a good solid grip on the thick part of the cable. Compression tool: 4.5/5Overall, though, I think this tool was pretty good, and I chalk up some of the failings to me learning for the first time as I went along. Like I said at the beginning, I paid $18 and it was totally worth that. If you are new to this like I was, read the instructions, make sure you have 6-12" of extra cable length so you can learn how to do it, make sure you have a way to test each cable (I just plugged my cable box into each new cable and watched for it to get the correct time), and you will do fine. There is nothing cheaper than this and I'm really not convinced anything 2x or 3x the price will be any better than this. 4/5.

Easy to use
Easy to use and was sturdy unlike others that break easily

Used not new
Crimper tool had obviously been previously used, improperly lubricated and returned. Seller should have discounted as used or open package instead of selling as new. It was fairly cheap so as long as it works I won't return it but will be wary of this seller in the future.
