You Get What You Pay For, and You're Not Paying Much, So...
Half the price of the Sony 35.1.4, this Samyang/Rokinon is a great deal. But is it? AF is acceptable for pictures, so-so for video on an A7III. Sharpness is great, probably better than the Sony model, even wide open. Where this really falters to me is bokeh. It's terrible. And this lens is really made for shallow depth of field backgrounds, otherwise, you wouldn't be looking at a 1.4.Having only owned Sony, Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses, this is far and away the worst bokeh and I just can't stand it. Had to return it. Amazon was just so awesome and took it back, I really appreciate that.

Excellent lens.
Stop listening to all those pixel peepers. GET THIS! you will never regret buying this lens. SHARP, fast enough autofocus in broad daylight and low light situations, excellent price. You get your money’s worth with this. STOP comparing this to other over priced lens and START taking beautiful and creative images. I shoot weddings and events, woudn’t hesitate to use this.

Insanely Sharp | AF could be better on A72
TL;DR: You'll love it. Stupid Sharp. AF could be better but it also could be my style, environment, camera.Love it. But I hate it. It's crazy sharp, like, crazy sharp. I found around F2.8 it is absolutely stunningly sharp and detailed. It is quite heavy and quite large on my camera but it feels like it's very solid. The Chromatic Aberration is there, however, it's not nearly as bad as the 50 F1.8.The AF is not the greatest. It's basically completely silent, and it's quite quick but it seems to miss often enough that I may return. However, I am frequently shooting at 1.4 in a low light environment so maybe I ask too much of it.If you're looking for something cheap and amazing - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lens to anyone that is comfortable with the price.

Unreliable.
I've used this lens for shooting weddings over the past two years and have found it to be unreliable. A few times every wedding it locks focus either too close, too far, or spazzes by repeatedly and rapidly focusing between near and far to a point where the lens must be physically removed from the camera and reseated to function properly again. This hasn't happened with any other lens I've ever owned. The focus is sometimes very soft, sometimes very sharp. I can't give it a 1 star rating because there are times when it works great. For the value, it got me by while I saved up for the Sony 35mm F1.4 G Master.

Great picture quality - autofocus has issues (read description)
Picture quality is greatAuto focus makes clicking noiseAutofocus will lock if you get within 3 feet of the subject and will only unlock if you get closer or fartherThere is a specific length in which the lens just can’t focusThe only way to get around this is to turn off the camera, go into manual focus and fix, or disconnect the lens and put it back onDefinitely not something you should buy if you want to do professional shoots as it is most likely that you’ll miss focus 2 out of 10 times. For personal shoots it’s phenomenal and the best autofocus 35 1.4 you can get for the money.
