What a bloody disaster!
I bought this Mouse hoping to upgrade from my previous Arc. (The wireless one) I cannot express how immensely disappointed I am in this heaping pile of dung. After trying to use it for two days I am at the end of my rope trying to make it work. No message-board on the net could help me figure out a solution to the atrocious Bluetooth connection this junk struggles with. The stuttering, and sometimes blatant disconnection from my laptop make it practically useless for me to use. My Trackpad is better than this garbage. I was so excited to finally have another USB port free, but it looks like I will be going back to using the wireless version of this POS. Dont' buy this.

Inestable.

Works with Dell laptops
I have read a lot of reviews about this mouse - not all favorable. I have used a Microsoft Arc Mouse (USB dongle) for years and I really like the look, feel and functionality. It took a while to become accustomed to using the Arc Mouse due to the lack of a scroll wheel, but I am a dedicated user now. The Surface Arc Mouse has the same form factor as the regular Arc Mouse, but there's no scroll area and apparently only one button. Microsoft has built touch sensitivity into the Surface Arc Mouse so you can left click, right click and scroll by having your finger over the appropriate area of the mouse. I thought this would take some practice, but it works just as well as the regular Arc Mouse. The big bonus for me is that being Bluetooth 4 compatible, I don't lose a port on my laptop for the mouse.

Surprisingly Good
It has a surprisingly good battery life for a Bluetooth mouse. The off/on feature by way of bending it straight for "off" and then bending it into an arc for "on" is a great quick method.I'd give it a full 5 stars if it felt a bit more comfortable in my hands.Comparing it to an Apple Magic mouse, it's almost on par but somehow the magic mouse feels more comfortable. I think it's because this arc mouse is too tall, so my hand is more spread out with the apple magic mouse. Still, it's not a deal breaker and I do like using this mouse. One area where it shines is the easy battery replacement (x2 AAA), where as on the Apple mouse it needs to be plugged in on the bottom and then cannot be used during recharge (that is very annoying). So good job Microsoft on keeping the battery aspect simple. Any x2 AAA will do or if you can, grap some AAA Ni-MH batteries.I attached a few photos of the Microsoft Arc mouse next to the Apple Magic mouse for comparison.
