Best value for great sound.
I love to listen to music, but good HiFi headphones or in-ear monitors cost a few hundred dollars. So over the years i have bought a series of low end earbuds in the $50 range that sounded pretty good from makers like MEE. The low cost meant I wasnt afraid to used them when jogging biking or just commuting. In recent years good-sounding earbuds been replaced with earbuds that have unrealistic overwhelming bass that clouds the vocals that to me sound awful. The entire Grado product line provides a more relistic sound balance with tight and punchy bass. Despite their entry level price, the iGe’s provide great sound. The immediate difference between these and competitors are the openness of the sound. Each instrument and vocal can be heard separately. Like other Grado products, the sound is a little warm and vocals are a tad forward while not seeming harsh. When I first listened to the iGe’s I kept hopping between favorite tracks and smiling at how well they performed. Others have said that the accuracy of these isnt as high as the more expensive Grado products, which I agree with, but they are much much better than anything else at this price point and I would say anything I have tried under $150. I have only had these a few days, and so cant comment on how well they will last. What I can say is that iGe is a great solution for those that like great sound at an entry level price.

Great sound, but made in China.
First, I don't like being had, scammed, shammed, or took. I like to buy USA products whenever possible. Grado's are all made in Brooklyn, right? Wrong. These were made in China and I did not know it until I opened the instructions. I was hurt and I felt cheated. Grado is known for being built right here, I almost sent them back just out of spite but I didn't. No whrere could I find on the website or Amazon that said these were imported. I weighed the odds and at this really good price point of 50.00, I don't think I could have gotten better. I use them on Android so all the controller does is pause and play the music, I knew that going in. The sound is fantastic. I mostly listen to uncompressed music and these makes my music shine. I listen to Rock, Metal, Jazz (Bop), New Age, and some older country, they make them all sound so much better. I compared them to my wife's noise cancelling 275.00 dollar Bose, and they blew them away, hands down. But then again, they are Bose and I don't care what you paid for them, you are paying for marketing hype and not the actual product, so it wasn't much competition. but I do have grado headphones on my home stereo and I have very high quality speakers, I like good sound. The Grado's are a little "airy" (the way most grado's are) and I do like them better when I run them through my equalizer on my phone, but we all have personal taste. The more I break them in, the better they sound, in two weeks they should improve more. I know good sound and for 50 bucks, I'd jump on this before they are gone.

Just Amazing!!!!
For under 100 bucks these are for sure a five star purchase. If you love Grado, you're gonna love these cans. Super separation, and amazing all around sound. I own the RHA MA750i and I like these a lot more. These are so crips and just in your face without being distorted and muddled. Some complain there is too much semblance in the vocals, but I think they push the edge of too much of everything and ride the pleasurable line. Really enjoy listening to them!!! Update... I lost my first pair (left them on a plane... ouch) and like these in-ears so much I just bought another pair! That tells you a lot. I bought some BASN Bsinger Pro in ears for fun and because they had a ton of great reviews, They're really really good but they don't touch these Grado iGe'! Just buy them!

Ordered two pairs... both had issues. Non performance related.
My gosh these are amazing earbuds for the price that I paid. The only issue with the orders was that on the first set, when it arrived I immediately noticed that one of the sets of ear tips had been removed from the packaging. Since the box had no plastic wrapping I'd thought that perhaps they had fallen into the box but that was not the case. The tips were simply gone. Given the fact that I have tons of tips around the house that isn't the biggest deal. (and I got my second pair today and it turns out that the missing tips, that were present in the just received package, don't even fit.) Using some ear tips that were not included with the item I went through the motions of listening to the various styles of music that I enjoy and non surprisingly they were amazing. Like seriously... these are amazing earbuds for the price I paid. My only small grievance is that the wiring is a bit flimsy. The second package that arrived today had all of its pieces included, but the big surprise was that it's plastic wrapping... wait what? The first package had no plastic wrapping. Well, yeah, I guess someone had opened the first package. But yeah, the plastic wrapping of the second item had been completely removed from the bottom of the package. I don't know who is responsible for this or if it has something to do with the low price, outside of the fact that the item was discontinued, but in two cases within a weeks time I had issues with damaged packaging dealing with a single item.Even with the damaged packaging and missing items were the earbuds a great deal? Oh yeah, they were! But given how they were delivered I'd expect them to be sold and labeled as Amazon Warehouse items rather than be sold as brand new items. This experience has not had any negative impact of my view of the manufacturer of the devices or Amazon since their customer support bends over backwards to help. In the future I have at this point learned that it's a good idea to film an unpackaging just in the circumstance that something out of the ordinary is about to be experienced.

Not good for this mostly classical music listener
Bought having read a very positive recommendation in BBC Music Magazine. Among the albums I tried was a violin/viola duet. The viola had no warmth and the violin could have been a member of the brass section! Spent 10% more and bought Sennheiser ie60 which are superb and also have better noise isolation. They don't have the in-line controls, but that suits me.

They sound fantastic but are far too fragile for portable headphones
They sound fantastic but are far too fragile for portable headphones. They lasted two days befor breaking. Pity and would not recommend for use with a portable device.
