Excellent Solution for Glock G43 with Laser/Light
I recently added a TLR-6 Streamlight light / laser combo to my Glock G43. Which made both my IWB holster & my bedside holster useless, since neither would fit the trigger guard mounted laser. This new DTOM bedside holster fits my G43 perfectly, completely covering the trigger. It has two elastic loops that can hold spare mags or small tactical flashlights. There's even a clip for holding key rings & a D-ring sewn on. The quality is really good, and I like feel of it. My previous holster was usable, but this DTOM product is much nicer, with more options.I was concerned that my smaller G43 would sit too deeply in the holster, but there's a strap sewn into the bottom opening that catches the front of the gun and keeps it from going too deep. This works perfectly, allowing trigger coverage yet keeping the grip free.My old bedside holster was floppy, but the DTOM is firm, with a single flexible bend to allow it to hang. The backing behind the gun is firm, supporting the weight of the weapon without bending or flexing... neither do you want in the middle of the night. The BH3 DTOM Bedside Holster - for guns with tactical light / laser, is an excellent product. It's well made and heavy duty. It's ambidextrous, so no worries for which side of the bed works. As long as you can get to the mattress / boxspring gap, you will be good to go. If that gap is blocked somehow, then you may have problems with any holster of this type.

A great holster at a reasonable price
The holster is well made and durable, a great alternative to the old "nightstand" storage. I especially like that it will hold a full-sized 9 mm handgun with a M6 weapon light/laser mounted on it The holster was able to fit the handgun in either direction left or right and while it has rings for support straps The holster is strong enough to not need them for a standard mattress and box spring. There are also two smaller loops for a pen or spare magazine if you need them. What would probably make this product even better, that would be an extra dedicated pouch for a spare magazine. Currently there is a piece of sewn elastic for a spare magazine which is adequate, but tight to the mag . Also the advice I'd like to give is that this holster will not secure the firearm, (that's your job)so if you have kids you'll have to excercise sound parental discretion on whether to use this holster. It does put a pistol in a reasonably close proximity to you while in bed, should something go bump in the night this holster would allow you to bump back quickly if need be. The holster also came in a plastic pouch, which also is good for storage while traveling.springWell done!

Fits G34 with Light but not easy to draw
I tried out this bedside holster because the previous one I purchased from Amazon didn’t fit my G34 with Streamlight TLR-2 HLG. It had an adjustable Velcro strap that was not long enough to retain my setup. While it isn’t ideal, the elastic band does hold my G34. It’s definitely not quick access but it holds well and isn’t too difficult to draw. The mag and light holder work well. I have 2 complaints, first, the portion that goes under the bed isn’t that long so it’s not as secure as other bedside holsters. Second, there is nothing holding the bottom of the holster to the bed so when you draw, the entire piece moves until you break the tension. The holster itself isn’t rigid so drawing your weapon isn’t simple. I’ll keep it for now unless I find something better. If I were to redesign this, I would use the Maxpediton Universal Velcro holster. It’s an awesome holster that securely holds my G34 and quickly comes out when you draw.

Fits perfect and gets my things off of the nightstand.

IF YOU HAVE AN ADJUSTABLE BED, OR TALL SIDEBOARDS, READ THIS!
The media could not be loaded. This is a fantastic holster for your bedside HD handgun. It’s rugged, well-made and will perform exactly as described, IF your bed has narrow, metal side rails, or simply sits on top of a flat metal frame. I can quickly pull my full-size S&W M&P9 out of the fabric holster, even with an installed laser sight, without it catching or having to tug on it. An elastic strip at the bottom of the holster prevents your gun for sliding too far down due to its own weight. The trigger is safely covered when your gun is holstered, and it’s nearly impossible to slip your finger through the trigger guard when unholstering, even in a stressful situation. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that I no longer have to fumble in a nightstand for my HD weapon, and that it’s just 2 seconds away. However, if you have a bed with wide, wooden sideboards that come up above the bottom edge of your mattress, this product might not work for you, as designed. And if you have an adjustable bed (e.g., hospital bed, Craftmatic, etc.) this product will definitely not work as designed, unless you never adjust your bed. But in both cases, simple modifications might make it work for you, as it did for me.This product only works as designed if you can install it at a 90-degree angle such that the rear section of the holster that you slip under your mattress always lies perfectly flat, and the exposed front holster lies flat against the side of the boxsprings, side rail or sideboard, as shown in the product description. If you cannot see the bottom edge of your mattress when you’re standing at the side of your bed because the side rail or sideboard is higher than the bottom of your mattress, you will need to raise your mattress or modify this product for it to work.If you have an adjustable bed, the product will reliably work as designed, as long as you never raise the head or foot of the bed. When you raise your bed, the rear section of the holster under your mattress might shift and lose traction such that the weight of your gun, mags, etc. could allow the holster to slip out from under your mattress and fall to the floor. Not good! But if your adjustable bed sits inside a bed frame with side rails or sideboards, you might be able to modify this product so it will work. Which is what the rest of this post is about.HOW TO MODIFY THE BEDSIDE HOLSTER FOR BEDS WITH HIGH SIDEBOARDS OR FOR ADJUSTABLE BEDS WITH SIDE RAILS OR SIDEBOARDSBottom line: Trim the rear section of the holster that normally slips under your mattress so that you can wrap the holster around the back, top and front of the side rail/sideboard. Hold it all in place with sticky-back Velcro strips.Tools needed: Measuring tape, sharp shears or heavy-duty scissors.Materials: sticky-back Velcro tape or some other brand of hook and loop tape with an adhesive backing, with a 5lb. holding power or greater. 6” long strips of varying widths: up to 4” x 6” (or two strips, 2” x 6”) for the front section of the holster and the same for the rear section of the holster that normally slips under your mattress, and one strip ¾” x 6” for the thin middle section of the holster that lays on top of the sideboard (omit if attaching holster to a thin metal rail). OR contact cement.Optional: sewing machine and black threadHolster comes with two creases or folds in the middle, ¾” apart. This thin middle section will lay on the top edge of the sideboard, or should hang down the front of the metal side rail. When measuring the length of the rear section of the holster that normally slips under your mattress, measure from the fold nearest to the rear section.1. Measure depth of inside of side rail/sideboard, from the bottom lip where slats rest to the top edge.2. Trim the rear section of the holster that normally slips under your mattress to the same depth as above. Example: inside depth of side rail/sideboard is 4”. Rear section of the holster that normally slips under your mattress is 8”, as measured from the middle fold nearest to the rear section. Trim the bottom 4” off the rear section of the holster.3. OPTIONAL: stitch up the trimmed bottom edge of the rear section of the holster.4. Make sure the side rail or sideboard is clean, free of dust, oil, grease etc. Carefully apply sticky-back Velcro to the back and front of the side rail, or back, top and front of the sideboard where you want the holder to be installed: up to 4” x 6” (or two strips, 2” x 6”) for the front and for the back of the side rail/sideboard, and one strip ¾” x 6” for the top of the sideboard (omit this strip if attaching holster to a thin metal rail). Press firmly to get good adhesion.5. Trim and carefully attach the other half of the Velcro strips to the ones attached to the side rail/sideboard.6. Repeat Step #6 to attach the back of the thin middle strip of the holster to the top of the sideboard, and again to attach the back of the front section of the holster to the front of the side rail/sideboard.7. Press firmly one more time on the entire holster to help the Velcro strips adhere to the side rail/sideboard and to the holster. Here’s some pics of the finished product. I also show the sideboard covered with the Velcro strips. You might be able to get away with less Velcro, but I wanted no possibility that the holster might shift, slip or slide, especially when unholstering. Finally, I posted a video of a volunteer practicing an "emergency response" from a prone position to show that my holstered HD gun is readily available. Just like all aspects of HD, the response procedure should be practiced again, and again, and again. This modification of the bedside holster worked great for me, but I make no guarantees!
