Got perfectly on attic entrance
This attic entrance cover fit perfectly in my attic entrance. It was very easy to install using a staple gun. Zipper works well for opening/closing. Cover feels durable during installation and appears it will hold up well with use.

What a difference, you won't believe it
I installed this at the top of my drop down stairs. I watched some youtube videos and tutorials first. After stapling it in place and then zipping it shut, I felt the difference IMMEDIATLY. I went from being chilly to sweating because the draft stopped. My upstairs furnace went from regular days of 10 hours running last year to 3-4 hours when it was 20 degrees outside. This has been a fantastic and inexpensive change.

Perfect Fit
Our house was built in 1970. I ordered this without measuring the opening in the ceiling. Evidently this must be a standard size because it fit exactly. In fact, I was amazed at the ease of installation. Very easy to install with a staple gun. The quality of the material and zippers seems sturdy. It seems like it will last. The thermostat is at the end of the same hallway, so I'm looking forward to the heat and a/c running less.

Not Sure
It is easy to install and surely has made a difference. How much, it’s really hard to say. I can’t say it’s knocked 10% off my bill, but the area around the attic door seems a little warmer, although it has yet to get really cold. I would say blown-in insulation is probably more important, but this is an easy DIY project.

Cut the temperature inside around the attic door by 15 degrees
This insulation cover was very easy to install, took me maybe 5 minutes. I got it lined up in place then put a staple in the front opening then the back side. I then just went around the perimeter and put in a staple every 2" or so. I live in south Louisiana where is has been 103 degrees this summer. I used an infrared thermometer gun to take the temperature around the seam of the attic door where it hits the ceiling. The temperature was 95 degree at 2 pm in the afternoon. After the insulation cover was installed, I took the temperature again the next day around the attic door seam and the temperature was 80 degrees. When I open the attic door now, there is no noticeable temperature difference where as before there was a gust of hot air hitting me in the face. To get in the attic, I just unzip the cover and climb into the attic. I would buy this again.

WOW! Coolness!
In our guest suite is where the attic access is. I recently blew in R60 into the attic space. All of the heat was cut down coming into the house except from the attic stairs. I bought this and installed it within five minutes. Came back a few minutes later and it was cool from the attic stairs to the cover. What a difference. No heat leaks into the house from the attic stairs now. Hoping this will reduce any heat excaping in the winter time.

Super easy install!! attic stair insulation R15 !Excellent insulation for drop attic door 5 star
The media could not be loaded. Super easy to install- with long staples in a staple gun.Easy 10 minute installation. I could feel the breeze while in the attic today.TIP: you need to install this higher than you think to leave room for stairs to go up properly.*start away opposite end , then work in middles to other end. Make sure zipper is at main opening- and works.Fit and staple up. Start and one end and do opposite sides as you go.There's a lil slack but not much.Measure first!!! You'll feel the air pick the top up if installed properly. R15 INSULATION on this attic cover.Hopefully this saves a ton of money and keeps the garage from freezing now in winter, since my furnace is under these attic stairs. Here's hoping for the best.. !!!This seems like a quality product, Definitely worth the money. Easy install with staple gun. I'll update later if possible and let you know if it saves on my bills.

Well worth the small investment!
I had a brand new heat pump installed and could not figure out why during a very hot day the temperature on the thermostat would continue to rise. I complained to my installer and he couldn't explain it, but said there was nothing wrong with the unit. I eventually determined that the cause was the attic access door which was located in the hall directly above the thermostat. I purchased this insulation cover and solved the problem. It measured slightly larger than my opening but still fit fine (I actually nailed a 2x4 across one end of the attic opening and stapled the cover to it to keep it stretched out). As others have stated, it installs easily with a staple gun. This is a no brainer of an investment in my opinion, if only I had discovered it sooner!
