DC Super Hero GirlsBatgirl Utility Belt Accessory

I got this for my daughter's halloween outfit. All the DC Batgirl costumes just come with fabric belts or worse, belts that are just printed on the shirts. This is much more functional, has lights and sounds, a few accessories, it's just all around a better option to the belts that come with the current costumes. It was also cheaper here than purchasing in store.As a toy, I suppose this is good. My only real issue is the bat discs. These don't go into any kind of firing apparatus. They're just like mini frisbees. I would have preferred they were larger and clipped on to the belt somehow, but it's fine really. For the price, I can't complain. You can store them in the yellow pouch which FYI is a hard plastic, 2 sided container with a center level that flips. It's meant to be a pouch with a "secret" compartment. The gimmick is cool enough I suppose. Nothing can really stay on the top portion of the level since it will just flip when weight is put on it, but it hides whatever goes in there after it flips back. I suppose if you had enough things on the bottom it would keep the center from flipping. You could still access everything from the bottom flap. Both top and bottom flaps securely clip closed.The purple cell phone looking thing also opens up and you can store the "secret" communicator cards in them. It is about as thin or thinner than a phone. It's a cool enough item and it could probably double as a hard wallet/cardholder/whatever else you could come up with. Both of the accessories clip on to the belt firmly. And while it's only two things, your child's waist probably doesn't have much room for any more accessories on the front. It would be nice if it included a few more attachments but honestly, for the price I feel what's included is more than fair.The entire belt portion (not the light up "buckle") is made of a soft plastic (yes it is soft, just a tad firmer than silicone) and has snaps in the back JUST LIKE a trucker hat, so they are easy to adjust. However, just like a trucker hat, it does better at increasing diameter than decreasing it. But there are a LOT of snaps and even though we have to decrease the diameter for this to fit my daughter's waist, it still stays on her securely.Overall a great buy for a toy, but when you consider the quality and quantity you'd get with a halloween accessory at the same price point, this is a SPECTACULAR deal!Very happy with this item!

I got this as an addition to a batman shirt for halloween - my coworkers thought it was hillarious and it really made my costume more entertaining with it's sound effects and inspirational messages: "The first step to being super, is to believe in your super self". I am an XS womens t-shirt size, 28" waist, and was able to wear this belt just above my hips at the largest setting, but could've tightened it and worn it higher too. Would be super cute for a kid's costume as well

4/5 stars because of the mini pouch. There's this spinny thing in there, I don't get it. It just makes nothing else fit in there. The belt itself is still going strong 4 months later. The throwing disks and phone inserts are long gone. Not the toy's fault, I knew that was coming when I opened it for her. The dart gun and dart holder does fit the belt. That's the cool part. It's also why the complete package received 4 not 3 stars.

both my toddlers LOVE LOVE LOVE this belt. Super cool sound effects and the cell phone is pretty cool. They immediately lost the "coded" tabs that go in it so it was easy to take some heavy paper, cut my own tabs out and draw cool super hero emblems on both sides. Now they have a bunch instead of just two!

It came with dead batteries, so the voice and sounds were garbled. After replacing the batteries things sounded better but we decided to rip the electronics out and put new leds on a switch so that it could just be lit all the time.As a toy it would be fine, but you might need to replace the 3 LR44 button batteries.The photo is with the LEDs I added.

It's a great belt with lots of attachment. Makes great noises. The phone has interchangeable bits. My 5 year old loves it. It's a tad big but she is only little for her age
