Small with aesthetic character
The media could not be loaded. [First Impression Sept 2021]6 small pieces. Came as expected. They're small so not even my small danios fish can use them for hiding or feeling protected. So they're mostly just for decor. A lot of the pieces have lots of character in their appearance which is great. It took two boils to get 5 of the 6 pieces to be water-logged and for the water to run somewhat clear of tannins.Hopefully they hold up.

Just What I Wanted
I received six small pieces of spiderwood, each one is unique. Photo shows the size next to a ruler. They came in a nice drawstring bag. These will look great in my planted nano tanks, I will glue some Buce, Java Ferns and Anubias on them. Great price for 6 interesting pieces of tank decor. Haven't had them long enough to see if there are a lot of tannins, but generally my spiderwood pieces are not too bad. If they do stain a lot, I will toss them in my blackwater tanks.

Cut off the tips / small pieces
The media could not be loaded. If ur like me and like spider wood you love the natural tips to the pieces. These are all cut off. The ends of every branch is flat. Kinda sad cause I got some cool pieces but I don’t think I’m gonna keep them. Don’t understand why they did this. Ordered 4 bags of these 3 of the bags had maybe 3-4 inch pieces at most. Very small. They’d b great if it was a bowl with some plants but you’d been 2 bags of them for a tank

Good value
Small but very nice looking interesting pieces.second time buying these and wasn't disappointed nice unique looking pieces two of them were a little straighter in shape but still beautiful coloring. work great for attaching my moss or anubis plants to. just def boil them before you use i do three water changes during the boiling and have no issues.

Small, but worked well enough
Each piece was small, but when I put them together like this, it looked pretty cool. My tarantula is webbing it all up to make his new home. I’ll probably buy some more once my other heavy webbing tarantulas are bigger.

White slimy mold
These are small pieces of “spider wood” I boiled water in an electric kettle and soaked them. I repeated this 3 times and let soak overnight. This released The tannins. They make great hardscape and I noticed white algae growing on them after a few days. After a quick google search this is beneficial growth and natural bacteria. Once my shrimp and snails arrive soon they will tame it down. This is natural and will not harm your fish. It’s Beneficial bacteria in your fish tanks water culture feeding on dead matter from the wood. This is not harmful and will be tamed with a proper balance in your tank.

Not good for aquariums
I did as i was supposed to. I have a live tank with live plants and it practically killed them. The wood started growing a cloudy white mold or fungus. I thought maybe because it didnt boil long enougb so i boiled and scrubbed clean. Tried again and the same thing happened. Then i got worms in my tank and nothing else was introduced to my tank. Might be good for a home decoration but keep it out of your fish tank.

Great for small setups
I liked that it works great for small aquariums had to soak it with a weight on top to get it submerged. That was fine turned the water brown need to change the water to keep it clear periodically waiting on a small water filter to clear it out more.
