Arbonne Chocolate Protein Shake, 2 pounds 12.4 ounces

In October 2017 my wife was diagnosed with stage 4b ovarian cancer and she immediately started chemotherapy. Chemo, to say the least, was, and still is brutal on her. Her immune system was wiped out and we knew if she caught a cold or flu that it would likely be fatal for her as her lungs are weak. Week after week her blood tests were getting continually worse and she was declining. My sister had a bag of this Arbonne chocolate protein shake that my niece (who is a vegan) used to keep her protein levels up. She asked me to give it a try with my wife.I was rather skeptical, however, my wife being very nauseous from the chemo was able to keep the shakes down, so I kept making them for her twice daily. After a week of drinking two shakes a day her blood count started to rise, and continued to do so week after week and she started gaining strength. We didn't really know if it was the shakes, or if she was just improving, so when we ran out of the mix, we didn't reorder due to the high price. She immediately started to decline. I bit the bullet and ordered two more bags. Her blood work came back better the following week. This product was a life saver for us.The bottom line is this. Is this product worth $90 a bag? Probably not, especially for the average person. However, when I saw my lovely bride dying slowly in front of me, money no longer mattered. If this product buys her better health and eases her suffering for any length of time it was well worth it. I'm not one for leaving gleaming reviews, but this product deserves praise. I pray this review helps just one person in the same shoes.P.S. My sister became an Arbonne dealer, its not hard. She gets it much much cheaper for us that way.

I had tried at least a dozen plant based protein powders prior to buying Arbonne, and even the best of them were just "okay", and had to be mixed with fruit and nut milk to be moderately palatable. The textures were gritty, the flavours strongly "earthy" (read: tasted like dirt) and most had a lingering terrible stevia aftertaste. I tried all the popular brands, including Vega, Sunwarrior, Raw Fit, Plant Fusion, and MRM, and only the latter was even palatable enough for me to get through a whole glass. Soy powders tend to be better in taste and texture, but I eat a lot of tofu and tempeh, so I wanted to try to diversify into other protein sources. Prior to trying this brand, only Naturliga vanilla swirl was good enough to drink on a regular basis, and it still had a fairly silty, gritty texture and an aftertaste.I was a bit hesitant to try Arbonne, because it is quite a bit more expensive than other brands, and has more carbs and less protein per serving, but it was highly recommended by my non-vegan mother, so I figured it had to be better than the brands I'd tried so far.It came and I made up a shake and had my husband try it first because he is less picky than me, so his "good" is my "not good at all" and his "interesting" is my "get me a bucket, and quickly". He said it was great, so I figured it would be okay. It actually was great!! the texture was thick and not gritty at all (I blend it with cashew milk and ice), and the flavour was rich and fudgy, almost milkshake like (I say almost because, let's be real - no 160 calorie protein shake in the world is ever going to taste like a 900 calorie liquified ice cream drink). It also was quite filling and kept me feeling satisfied until lunchtime four hours later.I wish this was cheaper and more concentrated in protein, but I'm still giving it 5 stars because it tastes so much better than any other plant based protein I've tried (and I've tried a lot).

I was introduced to Arbonne products about 2 yrs ago . . . Love them!!! Yes, they are not the cheapest, BUT they are worth it!! The natural ingredients are the best compared to a lot of other products that contain whey, etc. In addition, unlike other protein powders, they provide 20 grams of vegan protein, plus more than 20 essential vitamins and minerals per serving, delivering a 100% amino acid score. Best of all, for me, a Diabetic, they are certified to have a low glycemic index, which has little effect on blood sugar levels and does not cause a spike in blood sugar. Great taste! I mix the Vanilla and Chocolate together, because I prefer it that way . . . not too chocolaty. LOVE IT!!!

Makes great shakes, has great ingredients and the taste is tolerable for a veg protein. Best with shakes and lots of ingredients. On its own with water, soy, coconut, almond or cow milk, I don't recommend. But in a blueberry shake with some almond butter and coconut milk, its great. I was a heavy whey user but my body never appreciated the lactose in it. This solved that issue, but with an increase in veg consumption, gas can still be an issue but my body adjusted to it, unlike whey. I think this is overpriced for sure, but it is a good product.

This is the best tasting protein powder I have ever had. I mix it with a banana, no sugar added chocolate almond milk and ice cubes. It makes a thick chocolate shake that I crave.

I have been using this for years! I love it! I have tried others but find this is the best tasting!
