reading become more obvious as time goes on
This is a simple cheap device.I have a LOT of rechargeable batteries (bought in auction) I just recharge as soon they discharge but they get annoyingly get mixed up some charged some not. So I would test each one with my multi tester (voltage then current) fiddly and time consuming.I bought this because it was cheap. It did not come with an advice sheet. My mouse battery ran out of juice so (I don't think it needs much to run a mouse) so tested on this tester. It uses the power in battery to display, it showed the battery on the first bar of the green good bar (even though it did not have the power to run a mouse) so I charged it up and retested this time it showed good on the second bar showing that the battery had taken a charge. (this only takes a second to test)This is perfectly satisfactory for my needs.regards J

It works, but it feels very cheap
Bit of a conflicting one this, its only £4 but it also feels like its made of nothing, I'd happily bought a more rugged version if I knew how cheap it felt. But it works fine and if you just need a very cheap tester to verify battery life then this is a solid choice, been using on standard alkaline and Ni-MH of all sizes.

Works and saves money?
It's flimsy and the cradle could be better designed, but it works well and means I don't have to throw batteries away un necessarily. Just used it. As far as I know it's accurate.

Where to find the right thing to use
Just a little bit fiddly at first but get used to it It is used for checking what power is left in batteries

So easy to use, testing batteries is a delight!
I bought this to keep track of all the random batteries we have lying around in the house, and to recycle the ones that are dead or are dying. It's very easy to use, is powered by the battery itself, visually it looks nice with the LED displaying the condition of the battery.I haven't rated accuracy as I received a different variant for free when I bought a battery holder from a different vendor, I have a battery bin and decided to use these batteries I had previously tested on this product, the batteries that were reported as 'replace' or 'low' on that were reporting amber or green on this. So not sure which one is inaccurate, I am more inclined to believe this one is of higher accuracy as looks better quality but I simply cannot say. That shouldn't throw you off though, everyone should have a battery tester to some capacity so we aren't chucking away good batteries when Santie comes knocking you'll be begging him for a pack of AA and AAA.

Useful device for parents
This is such a useful gadget to own as a parent. We have a lot of toys which require batteries and therefore we get through a lot of batteries which can be very expensive. Now whenever I change the batteries in a toy I test them before throwing them away and this has saved me from throwing away loads of perfectly good batteries - for example sometimes a toy takes 4 AA batteries I replace all four when it stops working, i then test the old batteries and useful find 1-3 od them still have plenty of charge left in them. Previous to purchasing this gadget I would have just thrown all the batteries away!

Good product
Was a bit uncertain as the reviews mentioned about getting the batteries lined up properly. But that's easy enough, and now all the loose batteries I had lying about have all been checked and luckily none of them were no good! So I've got plenty of batteries with ample power in them! Would recommend

Amazing product and value was 5*
I had a draw full of batteries taken out of Xmas Decs etc and didn’t know what worked and what didn’t. This was so helpful and I only had a couple on their way out and a few dead. Saved me binning good batteries by mistake.Would highly recommend.
