The best ever UK Road Map for Motorhome and Caravan route planning.
I rarely review Amazon Products (I buy too many!). However, I had to review this. I've got so used to iPads and all the screen apps we can use - I failed to recall the usefulness and sheer joy of using a detailed road map. We drive a motorhome, and this heavyweight road map will be brilliant for planning routes. As others have mentioned, it is both large and heavy. So it's not a glovebox road map. But is better than anything else I have found for route planning a motorhome or caravan holiday. 10/10!

Clear to read with excellent detail
Hi all. I am a career HGV driver and I regularly buy the Phillips Truckers Atlas which includes several thousand bridge heights and weight limits. I was looking for an updated version of my 2020-printed Truckers Atlas and came across this one, which is 2021-print, and so I bought it for a family member. Sat side by side for comparison I can say that THIS (camping) one actually contains MORE bridge heights and weight limits than the 2020-print Truckers Atlas, plus it has width limits too. THIS one has some added notations for camping including a really good list of campsites with those sites features (eg, showers, electric hook-ups etc) and a few other handy items, HOWEVER, overall, I can't see any reason why I couldn't use this map as a substitute for my 2020-print Truckers Atlas, once the pages are open side by side it's the same mapping, with the same page numbers, the same excellent detail in the same easy to read style, ring-bound so you can open the map totally flat, or turn it back on itself fully open to one page only, except, as I've said already, it's actually got more heights and weights on it than my Phillips 2020-print Truckers Atlas. I bought it, and gave it to a family member who has a tall campervan. If you want a large sized decent map, whether you are a camper, trucker or neither, buy this one !! Handy tip......cheap maps are false economy!Excellent Amazon pricing as always.

Not the complete package
Generally a good atlas, with good detail- better than the normal road map books, however, is big and heavy and pages do seem to be of a thin paper. For caravan motor home users, it does tell bridge height, but that about it. In Yorkshire a main A road has a section that prohibits caravans because it is so deep, A170 at Sutton Bank, no mention of this on a map which is promoted for the caravan user. Also found one of the city approach maps out of date. It shows a college still marked, which was demolished and replaced with a housing estate more than 12 years ago. Did email the C & C Club, but nothing back apart from they would advise the publisher- nothing from publisher. Overall good reference map, but nothing great.

For hubby’s birthday!
We’ve just been away with our van and a brand new car. The towing was fine but the Satnav still isn’t perfect. Does anyone have a perfect satnav yet? It wasnt a cheap car either! To cut a very long story short, we had to have a one night stop over as we were going to a greyhound rescue on the way home. We’ve been to this rescue many times before but never from another direction. The sat nav took us miles out of our way and down tiny little lanes. Needless to say a domestic ensued! So that made my mind up for me. Hubby loves maps anyway and as we can’t find anywhere on this new satnav where you can put a caravan/truck route in, and seeing as a five minute journey to the greyhound rescue actually took us 15 and then one of the rescue volunteers had to come and get us as the sat nav was so wrong, this map was a no brainer.Ordered it yday and was here when we got home today!I’ve only had a quick look but it’s a spiral binder which is always useful in a car and seems to have loads of detail in it.The proof will be in the pudding as they say so I hope that Amazon will let me update my review when we next go out with the van and map.It was a lorry drivers review for another map that said it was not as good as this, hence the reason for buying this particular one.

Great map ….really thin paper used
Bought this to replace an earlier version …is really the best atlas for us . However the only down side is the paper is really thin , and the perforated edge is sure to deteriorate quickly , exactly same as our existing version .We have even made a rest to use to keep it flat in use !!

Clear
I did not realise how big this road atlas was going to be, and was quite surprised when I received it. However, it is very manageable.I found it very robust and easy to use. Reading the maps was okay and caused me no problems at all. I was able to find everything and everywhere along the routes required. The filters and indexing and legends are just great, and help exceedingly well when looking for specific places. Campsites in particular were easy to find. Even though these were confined to the Camping and Caravanning Club campsites. Being a member I found this very helpful though. You won't be disappointed in this atlas.

Accurate large scale map.
Already had a 2016 atlass, and was very happy to purchase an upto date 2021 atlas, which I find very useful, as I tow a caravan and wish to check the route with great detail, which I find easy with this large scale map.
