Absolutely Love These Bars!
I have been looking for a protein bar that was lactose free and wasn’t super high in calories when I came across these. I have the chocolate caramel flavor and love them. They have been a breakfast for me with a piece of fruit or an afternoon snack. They are delicious and definitely fill me enough to get me to my next meal. I’m unsure if they are a good value since I haven’t found them anywhere else but Amazon, but to me they are worth every penny!

So, it's not a candy bar? You sure?
Holy crap! I think I found possible the best bar ever. I'd take these over a candy bar anytime. It's basically a rice crispy treat that was made with carmel instead of marshmallow. Then it's dipped in chocolate, with chocolate drizzle over the top with peanut butter chips! But it's a healthy protein bar? If you say so. I buy these now just for a treat, but the fact that it's loaded with protein and other good stuff makes it a win win. (Ugh, cheesy line lol to the point, if you need protein, this is the best tasting way I've found other than a porterhouse. I've tried a lot of bars, these are way above my 2nd place. And I thought that one from the Valley was good. Now I know what Mr. Kellogg wanted to accomplish with the invention of cereal, but the way these taste, I think he's about to fail 😂😂

Really a good tasting bar
Really a good tasting bar. Granola bars started the portable snack craze when carrying an apple went out of fashion, and they've evolved into candy bar tasting products that just don't have the same healthful intention as they did in the beginning. This bar is too high in carbs (24g, of which 15 are sugar and ) and fat (170 cal, 4g saturated fat) to be a diabetic snack (+/- 15 carbs usually) but, if the protein content (10g) is necessary, it just may justify the cheat. I compared all the bars in my house to these: Kind Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate- 120 cal, 3.5g sat fat, 17 g carbs, 9g sugar, 2.5 dietary fiber, 0g sol fiber, 7g protein; Luna Lemon Zest- 180cal, 2.5 sat fat, 27g carbs, 12g sugar, 3g dietary fiber, 0g sol fiber, 9g protein; Atkins Cherry Pecan Bar- 160 cal, 1.5 sat fat, 15g carbs, 3g sugar, 4g dietary fiber, 0g sol fiber, 5g protein; and Kashi Peanutty (sic) Dark Chocolate- 130 cal, 1g sat fat, 20g carbs, 7g sugar, 4g dietary fiber, 2g sol fiber, 4g protein. I guess we've given up truly healthy for a bit tasty.

Great tasting meal bar at a great price
I chose the Special K line of meal bars after researching and comparing to other commercial meal bars. The ingredients are good quality and the protein/carbs to calories ratio is acceptable for my weight loss needs. The cost is far better than equivalent products. I found the flavors all tasted great, though strawberry is my favorite. I also found that as a meal substitute, I needed a little more protein, so added a meal replacement shake. That held me over fine to the next meal time. As a snack between meals, this is the product I would recommend most. High protein, low cal and very delicious. I highly recommend this product.

TASTY TREAT THAT'S NOT JUNK!
These are sold as "meal bars" , and I have used them as a meal substitute. However, at only 170 calories, I've also eaten them as a snack, to keep from grabbing something with many more calories. With 12 grams of protein, 15 grams of fiber, and low fat (4.5grams), NO trans fat, and low sodium (170mg.), it's hard to believe the rich flavor when I bite into the chocolate caramel!Ordering them from Amazon means I get them quickly and reliably without having to leave home.

What Happened?
So, I was happy when I found these on Amazon because I can no longer find them in the store (grocery or CVS). However, whatever I received is not what is pictured on the box nor what I am used to. It has a full chocolate coating, and I'm not even sure if the flavor is the same (the texture definitely wasn't, and it had so much more chocolate). I was looking for my old tasty protein bar, not a candy bar.It was only about $1/bar when I made my purchase. Now, the price has at least doubled.I won't be purchasing these again unless I see them on the shelves for a reasonable price at my local stores.

Great Bar Before Cycling
I started eating these bars as suggested by my dietician when I was on dialysis. They are tasty and nutritious and satisfy my uber sweet tooth. I eat a bar before I start my 15 mile bicycle ride and it keeps me going. They cost about $8.50 for a small box of 6, so finding it here on Amazon for cheaper per bar was a win-win situation.
