they do run smalland tight i would suggest that you get a size bigger and wider than normal but thay are very comfortable. im on my feet all night in a warehouse running jumping and walking around and these are great.

Nice brand of shoe. I wasn't sure until I wore them. Good price point. Excellent product. Comfortable shoes for long hikes.

Sole is stiff and not flimsy like cheaper shoes. 2nd pair. First pair lasted 2 years

I hadn't heard of RAX before ordering it for my husband. However, we are both very very pleased with the shoes. They are so comfortable, even after a several-mile hike on the first wear. The insole is cushioned and supportive. They're waterproof, too, although he didn't test them by submerging them.The shoes look great-- the color is beautiful and they are really very high quality.The soles are strong and flexible and look like they'll last a long time.Fit is exactly as expected.I can't recommend these enough. My husband and son both also wear Danner boots, which are considered pretty top of the line. These are just as comfortable as the Danners, as the Timberlakes. They are really inexpensive but feel like more expensive boots.Recommended.

Our teen was happy to have these for his scout outings, and for hikes that we have taken as a family. They fit him well (true to size), and lace up securely. The arch support is good for his regular arch, and there is cushion and comfort when they are fully laced and in place. His foot stays put on downhill inclines, so there is no toe crowding, and it's a good-looking hiking boot. His feet stay dry through wet grass, which is a plus for comfort. They have gone the distance (several miles) without any hotspots or blisters. They breathe well and are what he reaches for if we have trails or scouts in our plans for the day. They may go to Philmont - Great hiking boots!

The media could not be loaded.  This boot/boot shoe is the real deal and is instantly obvious when looking at it from a side view. The neat indentations toward the back part of the shoe caught my eye. Not only were the side indentations in a triangular/sawtooth sort of shape they seemed to be the extra support I have been looking for when I venture on a trail that has a lot of rocks and fallen trees.Climbing hills is just one of the reasons the heel section of this shoe is effective. Traveling downhill is underrated in relation to the workout because it can be like a rest while still moving. However downhill travel can be a strain on your feet that can lead to a more complex injury down the line. The back section of this shoe works to give you that brake like effect you need when descending,I love the tan color which is one of several color options you can choose from. As can be seen in one of the pictures I have included there is a double layered tongue of the boot. This can give you an extra shield if you go through a stream or puddle.This is more like a souped up shoe than a boot due to its size. The extra padding and support makes it more of a hybrid of a shoe/boot affair. I feel thee can be used for light jogging without placing too much strain on the foot.If you harness these with ice cleats or rubber cleats you can hike in mild or light snow due to the unique tread.I am new to the Rax brand and am excited to see what they will produce in the future. The neat brand logo appears on the front of the shoe in a small area. This looks neat because the logo is aqua which stands out amongst the dominant tan color variations.To summarize I am very happy with this shoe/boot and recommend it to anyone looking for a neat design fine tuned for the outdoors.
