Q: Are these just a quick fix to get you home or something which will stay plugged for the life of the tire?

If you need more than this, it's probably best to replace the tire. Otherwise this should be good for the life of the tire (which isn't that long anyway!)

No, these are smaller than the strings found in the ATV/UTV kit. These tire plugs are designed specifically for use in a tubeless bicycle tire.

Q: how is it?Does it work well?

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Difficult to get in hole properly. Even then, difficult to get good seal with sealant. Impossible to get an absolutely clean cut at surface of tire; still managed to work its way out after a few miles; tried it several times, never again.

Q: How do you keep the bacon strips from drying out (or sticking to other things in your saddle bag) without any sort of container to hold them?

Our tubeless tackle kit G20439 holds the bacon strips so they are easier to carry, and they stay nice inside. Our G20452 is the side of bacon that is just the strips for replacement.
