One helluva sleeping bag
Yeowzzza! This sleeping bag rocks! Ok, so it is incredibly big and bulky, but it is super comfortable. Very soft. I used it camping in high elevation, low 60's at night. Although it was too warm to zip up the bag, I covered my feet and lower legs (yep, it's a "thing" for me to have my feet exposed). I can only imagine how well this bag will stand up to the real lower temps. I love it! Super quality, My opinion, great price for this bag and perfect for the big and tall guys. It's a bit overkill for my stature 5'7" but what the heck, it's awesome and I'd rather have plenty of room than not enough. I get claustrophobic, so unable to do the mummy bags... I cannot imagine you would be disappointed. Go for it!

Big unit
Warm and comfortable. Very large. Attracts dog hair like you wouldn't believe. Great for car camping. No way can you hike with this.

Excellent Cold Weather Bag (with a few minor caveats)
OVERALL IMPRESSIONWell-constructed bag - highly durable canvas outer shell and comfortable lining (that can be removed for washing). I tested this bag down to 0 on a winter camping trip - I actually had the bag 3/4 unzipped and I was still warm. It's a heavy bag - so, really only useful for car camping. I'm 6'0" / 235 lbs and I toss a lot when I sleep, so I was a little concerned whether 39" would be wide enough. So, I've only used it unzipped (in zero degree weather) and it was generally quite comfortable and warm (see below).SOME SPECIFICSShell - durable canvas, but everything is single-stitched and I'm wondering how that will hold up over the long term.Lining - very comfortable flannel cotton, with velcro tabs for easy removal.Zippers - medium size synthetic material that glides quite well. No sticking or grabbing the liner so far.Velcro Tabs (at top of zipper at head of bag) - thoughtfully added extra velcro on the tab, so that, if you're not using the tab to close off the bag at the end of the zipper, you can fold the tab back on itself so that it's not scratching you or the bag.COMFORT FACTORThis is a really thick bag (both bottom and top). So, sleeping on any kind of uneven platform, pebbles, twigs, etc. will not be a problem (I only used a 1/4" foam pad underneath) - feels like a moderately firm mattress.COMMENTS ON SIZEGenerally, adequate to more than adequate for someone 6'0" / 235. However:- the hood section (extended bottom piece used to place pillows, etc. is only about 12".- the inner usable volume (max space between the top and bottom is adequate for my size, but not overly spacious. I didn't feel claustrophobic, but I did leave the bag unzipped. Note that there is a trade-off on this design issue - the more space there is to toss and turn, the harder it will be to stay warm. So, if you're in my size range, I think this bag will be fine.TEMP RATINGI don't understand manufacturers' temp ratings. I tested this at just below zero with the zipper undone (in a good tent with no wind), so I would assume it's good to about 10 below (with the zipper up).On the flip side, I wouldn't use this bag for anything above 25-30 degrees - it would be a sauna. This is strictly a winter bag.CAVEATSBecause the outer shell is fairly stiff canvas and the width is 39" there is no real closure around your head, so there is some exposure to cold around your neck and shoulders. I thought this would be a real problem, but it certainly didn't affect my sleep - overall, I was very warm and comfortable - because it's a heavy bag, the cold didn't extend down to the rest of my body and it's still a 90" bag, so you can slide down and only your head is exposed. There is a drawstring around the head section, but it's not very useful (stiff canvas). So, don't count on that if you really need to close off the head section. The warranty is voided if this bag is machine washed (liner is removable for washing). I can't imagine washing this by hand. So, keep it clean.BOTTOM LINEA keeper for the winter.

Great sleeping bag for car camping
Definitely NOT a hiking bag, but incredible bag for a campers, roof top tent, truck bed camping, tent camping near vehicle, etc.. roomy, comfortable, warm!! Just an all out awesome sleeping bag and the removable liner is a bonus! Rugged canvas and canvas carrying bag is great too. Even though I didn’t roll it up as tight as it came, it fit back in the carrying case. Highly recommend!! Will probably use at the hunting club as well!!!

Best heavy sleeping bag I’ve ever owned.
My old sportsman’s guide sleeping bag has worn out after nearly 30 years of use. I first bought a new guide bag but they aren’t what they used to be so I returned that one right away. I then ordered this Teton and a bag from Browning. After comparing them both I have kept the Teton and returned the Browning. The Teton is large, thick, and has been working well this winter for my winter ice fishing/camping trips. I appreciate that this comes with it’s own travel bag as it has kept it clean when traveling in a sled out on the lake. If the bag holds up like it has been, I can see getting many years of use from it in the future too.
