The picture quality is great, although in bright sunshine it acts more like a mirror than a visible LCD screen.Mine did not come with instructions, fortunately they are easy to find online. As others mentioned, the instructions are poor. This is the 3rd such camera that I've installed, so I had a pretty good idea what to do. Rather than take apart the dash to attach the wires, I ran the power wire to the fuse box in the engine compartment. I used a fuse tap (lets you attach 2 fuses to the same spot in the fuse box) to attach the "BAT" wire to fuse #7 and attached the "ACC" wire to fuse #14 (which was empty). I have 2018 JK, so yours might be different. I ran the wire for the rear camera through the padding on the overhead roll bars instead of under the plastic panels on the floor, this was pretty easy to do with a fish tape. The red wire to connect to the reverse light was too short to reach, so I had to get another short piece of wire to splice onto it.Pros: great productCons: poor instructions, reverse wire too short, should include a couple of fuse taps, expensive

The good: after about 6 months of use in a Jeep Wrangler with a spare tire on the back and car seats in the back row, this mirror really improves my visibility of the road and my safety. The camera works, it works everyday, and in all weather. It works at night and is probably better than a normal mirror for night driving. I like that it records at all times so I can go back and review any incidents or interesting events from my drive.The bad: install is not fun or easy. The instructions are intentionally opaque and you either need to be a car mod can of person already or pay a mechanic a few hundred dollars to install. It is pretty obvious the manufacturer does not want to be liable for you damaging your cars electronics, and so they just don't give proper instructions on how to wire the mirror. Instead, they heavily suggest you call them *wink* and they will explain it to you over the phone if you have any questions *wink*. Their customer service is responsive and they will help you, but this is really for people that are comfortable soldering very small bundled wires in their car. Second complaint, the back up camera for backing into a parking spot is off and will likely run you into the car next to you. I have to use my side mirrors (gasp), but OEM rear view cameras are good enough to use by themselves.

Never installed it. Opened the box and was seriously unimpressed with the quality. Didn't test it out, but did look at the mirror itself. Kinda cheap looking plastic, but the major problem was the arm (that attaches to the windshield) was so difficult to move that I had to use two hands to force it to rotate. This may have been a "one-off" deal, but I knew immediately that trying to adjust this thing attached to the windshield would have easily pulled the attachment point off the glass...It may have worked well if i had installed it, but I couldn't get past the cheap plastics and poor quality of the arm on the mirror. A little to much money for what I received.

So this product is legit, I was skeptical but pulled the trigger and bought through amazon thinking that if it wasn't legit, I could easily return it. Unfortunately the touch screen did not work upon arrival. The display was great, there was a fast start up time, the image quality was fantastic, the backup lines come on when you put it into reverse and go away when you shift it back into gear. The only issue was the touch screen and thus the functionality was an issue. After speaking with the manufacture they confirmed I installed it correctly and that it was a defective digitizer on the touchscreen. I reached out to Amazon to get an advanced replacement with hopes of avoiding having to uninstall the cameras. Unfortunately the only option I was given was a direct refund and 13days to uninstall and return the defective unit, cameras included. To be clear, the customer service from both the manufacturer "Brandmotion" and the retailer "CarToys" were great, I spoke to actual friendly knowledgeable people who were understanding, helpful, and sympathetic of my situation. It was 100% Amazon Fulfillment services that has made this into an ordeal. I highly recommend this product but I would only encourage you to buy this product directly from Brandmotion or CarToys websites directly. In the rare case that you have an issue, you would much rather deal with them as opposed to Amazon.

Great option for safety and overcoming the limited rear-view area the Jeep wrangler unlimited has.

The media could not be loaded.  Spent several hours installing this camera only to find out the touch screen is defective and doesn’t work. Because if the complicated installation I had to wait several weeks to schedule time for installation and I’m 9 days outside of my return window. I am waiting for sellers response on how we can correct this issue. $400 is a lot for an item that doesn’t work brand new out of the box.

The actual live video feed was very lack luster

I just had one of these professionally installed and it is a blessing. When in Panorama mode, the grid lines automatically popup when you put the vehicle in reverse. No more looking around and guesstimating where the car behind you is. It goes back to regular wide angle display when not in reverse. You can see cars coming up on either side of you. Everything is touch screen. You can activate the front camera or split screens between front and back with a touch. Settings are also touch activated. A valuable tool for the impaired driver who has neck issues. No more straining to look around. Highly recommend.
