Trophy Taker RH Smackdown Pro Rest, Black

I own a Hoyt Helix and originally shot a cable driven rest but the problem with that was the cord kept rubbing against the riser on my bow every time it was at full draw and to me thats something that can possibly be a weak point out in the hunting woods. After about 5-6 months of using this riser i decided to write a review about it. Bought this rest as ive heard so many good things about it and it doesnt rub the riser so already a Pro. Another thing is its super tunable and I do shoot out to 120 yards on good days, and let me tell you.. Compared to my 150$ QAD rest, this one at almost half the price does exactly what its supposed to do. Nothing has came loose on me or broken, super solid metal frame, definitely a new fan of Trophy Taker.

Bought this about two months ago to put on my new prime rise, after about a week of shooting the spring on the inside broke a long with a set screw that holds the launcher arm in place. Called and asked to get a new one because of their lifetime warranty and it took them over a week to respond. Went to my local pro shop and said that I could take one off of their rack and would contact throphy taker directly to replace it. After shooting this rest for about a month the same set screw broke away from the rest and now and sending it back for another. Now sure if I want to even put this on my bow for free and would rather spend some more money to buy a durable rest.

I was using a whisker biscuit for a long time cause I didn't want to spend the money on a drop away, and heard of drop away failure in the field, which is unacceptable. But couldn't get my whisker biscuit to paper tune which was unnerving. So finally tried this trophy taker and very happy. Easy to install, accurate, and nothing touching my fletchings. So I'm pleased, been shooting it for the past four months without issue

This rest works great. I've put hundreds of arrows through it without any serious problems. It took a while for all of the stretch to work out of the cable, but now holds well. Mine did not come with the felt for the arrow guide that holds the arrow before the bow is drawn, but a small piece of mole skin works as a replacement. The rest is easy to tune, quiet, and repeatably accurate.

I was hesitant on installing it myself and ended up paying someone to do it. After watching them, its so easy to do yourself. Only reccomendation would be to use super glue and not the adhesive strips that come with the little plastic pieces. A small amount of glue to get it in place. Tie it down, tighten the rest and bam, you got it. Plenty of youtube videos on how to install it, just none show the glue to help the little plastic stay. This improved my accuracy coming from a whisker bisket.

I have use this drop-away rest for 3 years with great success. I've had it on a Mathews Triax and now a Mathews VXR and it was flawless on both. I bought this one for my son's bow, an Elite Ember and it is working very well for a first time archer. We have found the limb-driven model works the best for us.

Replaced a whisker rest and this thing has completely converted me to the fall away setup. It is so smooth and quiet. No more sitting in the stand with the woods dead quiet as your watching a buck and then cringing as the arrow scraps against the whiskers on the way back - that was like nails on a chalkboard... This thing is very stealthy on the draw.It was also pretty easy to install (maybe 1/2 hour since I had never done one) and I haven't had to tinker with it after several target sessions.

Added to a cheap off brand compound bow from Amazon that replaced the whisker biscuit it came with.Product was a little complicated for a new archer but with some time and enough YouTube videos I was able to get it set up and in perfect tune.I didn’t know that the product could be set up to either your up cable or your bottom limb. Right hand and left hand adjustable.

Unreal. Built like a tank and whisper quiet. Performs flawlessly so far. Can't wait to use it in the elk woods next September!
