I used this LED light kit for the four holes that are present on the front bumper of the Gen 8. This is an 8 light kit so I opted to eliminate the 4 red LED lights since I had already used a separate light kit for the headlamp, indicator and brake lights on the body. These are strictly for the mounts on the frame.What you need to know.The Gen 8 uses 5MM LED lights, this kit contains 5MM LED size lights. I used a clear exterior caulk/adhesive to fix them in place once I had them where I wanted them. The 5MM lights fit very loose and will need to be held in place while they dry, I used some painters tape to hold them in while the glue dried. Alternatively you could drill out the holes on the bumper to fit the metal reflector mounts that come with the kit. This is what I did, and I am glad I did. The lights are a little more focused with them.Powering these lights is simple off of the CH3 on the Gen 8 receiver. If you are only going to use the four lights you will get plenty of brightness off of the receiver. If you use all 8 lights you will want to run a separate 9V battery to power them otherwise they will be too dim to be really functional.For the price I am very satisfied and if I ever need some again I'll consider these.

Immediately noticed wires are flimsy at connections. Added extra solder and shrink wrapped in attempt to compensate. Relatively easy install into Dromida front bumper with light housings. Drilled plastic to install metal housings. Look great, Worked for several night runs, super bright lights, exactly what my son and I were looking for.Unfortunately after a few runs, the motion of taking the body off and on seems to have been too much for the weak connections mentioned previously. We started losing lights on both sets

No instructions but I managed from watch YouTube videos for knowledge. It only took me a hour. I will probably get some red film to cover rear lights. I didn’t want to drill into back of Ripsaw Crawler to light up rear break light.

I installed headlights and taillights on my Redcat rock crawler. These are perfect size, extremely bright, and very easy to install. They are also very durable since they have been on my truck for a week now and haven't had any issues with all the rolling over I have done. I would recommend these

I put these in a Losi 22SCT truck so that my friends and I could blast around when it got dark. Plugged into the spare receiver channel and they run off of the BEC. Just taped in place for now but I'll eventually design and 3D print permanent mounts.
