A nice add on to a gaming laptop
I bundled this mouse with a predator laptop, mostly because it matched but it's actually a good mouse for the price.

Decent gaming mouse, but easy to get dirty
This is my first time trying an acer gaming mouse and it is not bad so far. The first thing I will say about it is that it does not have a huge LED light so I am not blinded by my own mouse. It only has a simple LED light in the center to highlight the logo. Acer does a pretty good job with responsiveness and connectivity on the mouse. I am fairly happy with the performance and I am able to game pretty well on this. The device feels pretty nice in material, tough, and it is very comfortable to hold. It definitely does not feel like cheap plastic. It is not metal for sure. The mouse does get noticeably dirty easily but nothing a simple wipe down will not take care of. The issue is that the mouse gets dirty pretty easily from skin oil and sweat. This is on the average price for a gaming mouse. It is not a bad price if you are on a bit of a budget. It is not wireless and it looks decent for a gaming mouse for your desktop. The wire is pretty sturdy so you do not have to worry about any fraying or breaking. It is made of nylon fiber so it attracts dust but it hard to wear or cut. For me, I wanted something will last a while as many of the mouses I have had before the material fades or pieces break off. The material on this does not look like it will fade over time. It has adjustable DPI and responsiveness is on point. There is a customizable application to make this a better gaming mouse. It has up to eight total buttons on the mouse. You can definitely use this for pretty much any game. I play a good amount of counter strike and overwatch. This mouse did well in terms of responsiveness for these first person shooter while also working for MMO games as well. Back to the cable, it is pretty long so you do not have to worry about it not reaching the USB port. The plug does not take up too much space and again the cable itself is made of nylon fiber material so it is pretty strong and durable. Back to the performance, I will say about it is that it performs pretty well. There is no noticeable lag or delay. You can set the DPI to higher setting and even at the lowest setting it performs pretty well. The LED light is not too distracting and the flow is pretty fluid I feel. It does have a back and forward button on the side for better internet browsing if you need it. It does go into idle mode so you do not have to worry about the LED lights blinding you if you leave your PC on. The only thing is that if you happen to click on the mouse the led may stay on. The down side is the mouse will turn on again if you happen to press any button even if you computer is off which a bit annoying. I have no idea how to turn that feature off. The clicks are pretty accurate and the feel is great. With the materials it is made out of, I do not see this mouse wearing down too soon. The material it is made of is pretty sturdy however If you happen to need to clean it just use a damp towel and wipe it down. I normally do not like using alcohol to clean it as it could peel layers of materials off. It is pretty decent for gaming. I tried it with first person shooter and the response was good. Overall I think this mouse is pretty good. It has high DPI, good response time, and overall great performance. The one thing I am concerned about is how it can be noticeably dirty over and over.

Good mouse, strange DPI button location
My only complaint about this mouse is the DPI button placement. The DPI buttons are located at the front of the left mouse button. This may be a style for FPS gamers who want to be able to rapidly raise or drop the DPI to increase/decrease mouse speed. I usually end up hitting one by mistake, and have too actively press the button to reset it back to where I like it. I prefer this mouse to the one I had before (logitech g503).

Precise and comfortable (it is pre-programmed, software is optional)
I admit that I ordered this mouse to use it with my Acer Predator Helios 300, in a pure stylish impulse. However, this Acer Predator Cestus 315 gaming mouse is great for both gaming, and any computer work that could benefit from a quick response and precision. I'm using it for graphic design and so far, it's performing really well. And I like how it feels in my hand, and that I can rest my palm and fingers on it. Before I forget, I want to say that it comes with a pre-programmed profile, which got all the buttons functional without having to install any software. And this come handy, if one is using other operating system than Windows. Like in my case, I prefer to use Linux mostly, and only switch to Windows for gaming, or for some software mandatory for my job. All the buttons work without software installation, and this mouse is compatible with most operating systems. I also like that is wired, so I don’t have to worry about recharging it, or carrying batteries around. The design of the thumb grip keeps the Back and Forward side buttons, out of the way. This is important, so one doesn't end up pushing the buttons by mistake. Something that happens often with similar mouse. As a matter of fact, none of the extra buttons got in the way, if one's hand is properly placed on top of the mouse, no button is ever press by mistake. It’s solid, and while it’s not lightweight, it doesn’t weight much either, so I carrying it in my briefcase.

Nice for Gaming, nice DPI switch
I have been using this mouse for the past week as the main mouse on my workstation machine. This means that I have been using it all day for things from development work to writing reviews, browsing websites, gaming, content creation and more. In order to be used as a mouse on my workstation ergonomics is #1; With this mouse I give it a 8/10 for ergonomics because I can use it for some hours without feeling any tingling in my mouse hand. However if I do a 2hr gaming session where I have to click a lot then I can definitely feel it. So it is good enough for my everyday work but leaves a little bit to be desired in a longer gaming session. Accuracy and clicking has been perfect and I love the little DPI up/down buttons because I can use them when sniping in games like COD. Performance has been good in games where I have been performing where I think I should be performing in these games. Overall this isn't the "best" gaming mouse I have ever tested but it is an overall good mouse that I can use all day every day for my everyday work with some gaming on the side and be happy with it. This is the first time I test an Acer mouse so if this is the first entry by acer then maybe the mouse market will have even more stiff competition in the coming years!
