Majorly helpful for managing appetite loss.
I’m prescribed stimulants for ADHD and am extremely sensitive to appetite loss from medications. It’s been a major issue I’ve faced for over 20 years now. If I skip breakfast, which I often do, I end up skipping lunch and feeling sick to my stomach by the time my meds wear off later in the afternoon which, ironically, kills my appetite as well. I’ve tried forcing myself to eat a full breakfast/lunch but when you’re not hungry, its extremely difficult to muster up the effort to go make a meal you don’t even want. As I get older, I worry more about the effects on my health from my wildly fluctuating eating schedule and started looking into meal replacement shakes because even if I’m not hungry, I can quickly chug a drink in the morning with my meds with minimal effort. This puts something on my stomach, making me feel better throughout the day and kickstarts my metabolism. By the end of the day I’m not nauseated and actually hungry. These are smallish bottles which are easy to slam, and the nootropics version contains some caffeine to kickstart my day plus whatever other nootropic vitamin nonsense they add in (I’ll let someone else be the judge on that, no vitamins can fairly compete with my ADHD meds) and I feel better throughout the day and even skip my coffee these days. The chocolate tastes pretty good, not life-changing but I’m just looking for something to chug quickly so it just needs to taste decent enough to not deter me. I can’t attribute feeling better overall to the drink itself, but the simple act of an quick easy breakfast has major benefits on my health and mood. tl;dr I’m on ADHD meds and used to skip breakfast and felt like garbage all day. I started chugging one of these every morning to get something on my stomach and I feel better throughout the day (energy, appetite, etc) They’ve become my morning routing for the last few months and it’s improved my workweek substantially. I highly recommend this if you have morning appetite issues. I wish it were a bit cheaper but I can’t really complain because it’s the only thing I’ve had consistently work for me.

Gives you energy, keeps you full, tastes great
Recommend to everyone. I had to cut back on caffeine by a lot and was told to get an energy based protein shake. Actually asked chat gbt and this is what I received. 100000% forever getting this. I don’t know what it is but it gives me enough energy as a healthier replacement for coffee and energy drinks, does it keep me pumped and fuels the same? No obviously not but it’s a great replacement if you’re realistic with your expectations. It also keeps me full for the days I don’t have time to have breakfast and the taste is good. Once you get over the thickness like most protein drinks it’s actually pretty good. I drink this religiously! I’ve also felt a huge improvement body wise, I feel way better (I combined this with exercise) so if you’re looking for a way to start a healthy or just “feel better” journey this is the way to start.

Perfection for a long-time fan! Please don't discontinue!
After following this company since v.1 and trying every variation in the past two decades, I can say definitively that the Complete Energy formula is the PERFECT size, volume, and consistency. The similarly-sized Complete Protein is *okay* but the consistency of that one is filmy in comparison and it's cloyingly sweet. The Mocha meal replacement was *okay* before this formula was made available, but it's too large and has a sour taste that's hard to get past. Honestly, I'd prefer the powdered v.5 (aka "pancake batter") over both of those, but the powder is not convenient for people with a million distractions. THIS IS YOUR GOLDILOCKS, Soylent. In fact, the Complete Energy has become such a valued source of vitamins and minerals that I have been known to check a bag when traveling just to make sure I have it daily. I am heartbroken to see it's been unavailable the past couple of months. If it's been discontinued, I'm going to have a real struggle finding something palatable to give me the nutrition, brain boosters, and convenience this has provided for so many years.

Tastes pretty good, stay full for pretty long
I got this in an attempt to have something available to me when I know I have to eat something but do not want to. I already didn't have a great relationship with food, and then I was diagnosed with celiac, followed by a bad dairy intolerance and a very bad intolerance to pea protein. Since Soylent doesn't have pea protein (which most dairy-free protein drinks have), I was excited to try it. I tried this one instead of the creamy chocolate one since it was cheaper. It tastes good, though not too sweet, and has a slightly bitter dark chocolate taste. I am more of a milk chocolate gal, so while I liked it enough, it isn't my favorite-tasting protein drink. I usually stay full from it for about 3-4 hours. After those 3-4 hours, I eat a granola bar or fruit, and I am good until the next meal time. So I wish I could have another hour of fullness. That being said, I would absolutely order this again. I am going to try the flavor sampler pack, and if it is good, I will stick with Soylent.

Good way for non-breakfast eaters to maintain energy
Has some basic nootropics and lots of nutrients. I use it for breakfast - since I don’t eat it anyways it helps hold me good until lunch. The aftertaste is a little weird, but it’s not as bad as some other “health” foods I’ve eaten. Give it a try! I’ve also done a week on regular Soylent and it seems to work as advertised. Steady energy and not too much hunger. Mostly using it as a cleanse since I eat a lot of meat.

Unpleasant Bitter Taste
Bought this by accident thinking it was the protein version and Im not super stoked on it. This has a really bitter taste to it from Im assuming the "energy" ingredients and Im not a fan of it. That bite and bitter taste is not great and Ill be more careful going forward not to select the incorrect version next time. Its not terrible but its not ideal. Wish they would just make the cocao powder again, dont know why thats no longer available.

Great and Tasty!
Soylent really is the gold standard for meal replacement shakes. The flavor is good and it’s not chalky. There is a nice mouth feel to the drink that coats one’s mouth. The shake actually feels like a meal replacement, rather than something to just tide oneself over. It isn’t too sweet nor too bland. It’s more expensive than a lot of other meal replacement shakes, but I think one gets what one pays for. I haven’t found a better meal replacement shake. Also, I love the coffee flavor and the caffeine helps in the morning.
