I am a professional massage therapist. Providing hot stone massage services on the go can be cumbersome using the traditional bulky water heaters. So, this set can be handy for outcalls. The reason I am giving 3 stars only is that the quality of the product is just OK. This is the second set I ordered. The first one arrived with a strong fishy smell inside the bag and stones. The stones were chipped, which is akin to massaging someone with broken nails. The second set was fine. However, the stones still look like used stones, so I am actually using a better set of stones I already had. It heats up the stones well, but if you are doing a full 90-minute hot stone session, it will not retain the heat and in order to do so, I have to place a towel inside the heater to prevent oil from getting on the liner. It comes with no instructions at all on how to use the actual heater. I know how to use these things, but for the general public, it would be helpful. The e-book is a joke. A lot of yin and yang, ping and pong, but not much of the science behind hot stones. If you're really not into the woo-woo side of life, the e-book is worthless. Overall, I think this product could be a lot better designed, but until something better comes along it will have to do for my outcalls.

These people may have developed a good enough rock warming product, but it's overpriced. The e-book is not accurate as far as Chinese Medicine concepts. They don't know their yin from their yang. Yin is black and earthy energy and white is yang and spiritual energy. They got the basics in reverse and wrong for several of the warm / cold concepts. Example: Warm energy on the belly/ stomach area doesn't slow down the metabolic processes, it speeds them up and opens them up. Cold naturally slows down anything, including the gut function. They are misguiding you; and that can be very dangerous in application for people. Do not follow their Chinese Medicine instructions! Head to an authentic source of Chinese Medicine for guidance. So many massage therapist types get these concepts mixed up.

As a licensed professional Massage Therapist, this is not ideal. It takes over an hour for the stones to get to a warm enough temperature to work with. If you are doing a full body treatment, it is impossible to reuse the stones due to the fact that it takes so long to get warm. I like the actual stones in this set (I personally don't use the tiny ones). They fit well in my small hands. I am just disappointed in the warmer. I was trying this to avoid the whole water & large warmer routine, but I suppose that is the best method 🤷‍♀️

I really like my hot stone set....it has the right warmth that i need for personal use in my home. The set is very sturdy, easy to use and easy to put away. The case that it came in is very stylish as well. One of the best wellness purchases that I've made

love that it's portable n u can plug into your cigarette lighter to warm stones up on your way to a client n also has a plug .. I put two hand towels on top of stones when shutting the case bc if u put on your shoulder stones will shift around..I thought it would be cushioned enough to keep stones in place.
