The sellers info clearly stated that size XL was for age 12-14 , height 5 ‘ 5” which would have been just right for my son. However, when it arrived it was labelled XL for age 10-12! The sleeves were well above the wrists and the coat was well above my son’s knees (more like a jacket than a coat!). The XL size is probably fine for a 10 to (small) 12 year old but definitely too small for a UK average-sized 12-14 year old! Unfortunately I bought it for World Book Day and it was too late to find an alternative once I discovered the sizing was wrong so I’m annoyed and hope to warn others not to be caught out!

Item is all right. Cheap light shirt material but for a school play so hopefully will look alright at a distance. However, it did not include the magnifying glass. Picture needs to be changed if they're not going to include this.

I bought this outfit for my 11 year old son for World Book Day. As an add-on, I also bought a magnifying glass and pipe (they don't come with the costume). It's worth investing in a better hat, which I did. As a result of all my efforts my son looked a treat and won the 'Best Dressed Boy Award'. It's a great costume and the cape looks fab.

The coat is amazing and just what we need. Unfortunately we are a family with massive heads so the hat needs a little adjustment but should be fine for those with normal noggins.
