OE Replacement Lexus LS430 Front Bumper Molding (Partslink Number LX1044103)

I was impressed that the trim offered here is the correct width and shape for an LS430. I absolutely expected some universal moulding that might be ok at best. Length is also good but I had about 4” of excess material I was able to snip off. Be sure to keep on enough material so the ends tuck in. The material is malleable and the double sided tape seems good enough but I used a heat gun to help the material contour around the bumper curves better and to help the tape adhere. To remove the original trim, use a non marring pry tool to lift up any remotely loose area you can find. I did it from the drivers side. Then use a flat xacto knife blade (rectangular blade) with some goo gone to remove the old adhesive. Take your time with this step to get as much off as possible. Clean with soap and water and wipe down with isopropyl alcohol to prep the surface. I sized up the trim and cut off about 2” then removed the backing from one end and started putting it on. I used a heat gun to help the trim contour the curves when first putting it on and then when I finished, I let the car sit overnight with painters tape around the curves to ensure the adhesive would set well. Made my front end look much better along with polishing the headlights and repainting the grill!

I was at the body shop to get a broken side mirror replaced. I asked them just how much would it cost to replace the front strip of trim which had been frayed and damaged from road debris. When they quoted me $250 I just started laughing because I had already seen this trim available on Amazon. You just need a heat gun and trim tool to loosen and remove old strip yourself.

Bought if for a 03 Lexus Ls430, perfect fit and looks cool.

Be very cautious when ordering this product. It claims that it works for all LS models but it does not. It’s for 01-03 only. It’s too wide to fit in the gap of the later model years, and is chrome, not brushed like the later model years. 25 bucks down the drain.
